Disposable Diaper Recommendation for a Cloth Diaperer

I use cloth diapers and love it, but we have 3 trips planned over the next couple of months where it won't be feasible for me to wash cloth diapers. I need a disposable recommendation. I'd like to go with some of the chemical free diapers, like Seventh Generation or gDiapers. What do you all recommend?

What can I do next?

The 7th Generation and Earth's Best are both really good. i think the Earth's best are better for girls though...

I used 7th Generation diapers on my daughter during a 2-week trip last fall. She was 4 months old, and the diapers worked great. I don't even recall having any blowouts, and she was totally breastfed at that time.

We have gDiapers that we use on and off, and I really like them. They are super easy to use and flush, the only problem I've had flushing them is if the toilet/ water pressure isn't that great. I've even let them sit a while before flushing, and if you use the stir stick, they go down pretty easy. Good luck!

I use the gDiapers for travel and love them! There is a bit of a learning curve but they really do work. The website as well as the customer service at gDiapers is a great resource.

Why I like to use the g's for travel?

The poo only gets in the snap in liner, which can be washed anywhere just keep a touch of soap in your bag. Hand wash and done, they dry in 10-15 minutes if they can be laid out. Less on the dashboard in the sun! ;) The little g cotton pants same thing if need be hand wash in sink with a touch of soap, or toss in with regular wash.

Plus after you are done traveling, use at home with cloth instead of the flushie insert. We use them that way so they are part of our normal stash, if need be we run and pick up some flushies!

HTH, let me know if you need anymore questions answered. Also I have coupons if you need any. $2 off starter kits and $2 off refills!

P.s. I also was able to locate a store near where we were staying on vacation and did need to pack all of the g's I needed, just the ones for traveling. That was helpful to. They have all of the stores listed on the site, so I called and had them set aside what I needed, so I all I had to do was pick them up and pay! :)

I have been using chlorine free diapers for years and the one I use the most are the Seventh Generation. They work great and I have never had a problem with them. I have also tried the Nature Babycare--they sell them at most Targets, and they also work great. I have used the new Earths Best ones, but found (for my kids) they run way too big in size and leaked a lot. I have also used the Tushies Brand ones. I like them, esp. because they are the only diapers I could find that are gel AND chlorine free, but the thing is, is that because they are gel free, they are very thick--and you will want to change them everytime you little one pees because otherwise they leak...cotton can only hold so much liquid ya know. I do like them but I think for a trip I would recommend one that has gel, but is still chlorine free. I hope this helps---good luck!! Oh, and I have never used the g-diapers, for the sole reason that many people say they leak, leak, leak....

I use naturecare. They are biodegradeable and work great. I buy them on diapers.com.

I would skip hte g-Diapers, they are a big pain in the rear, especially if you are traveling, your regular cloth would be easier than g-diapers.

We cloth diapered full time, and I used Seventh Generation with no problems when we went on vacation, or on really long days out and about. The Target diapers are a good option too.... they aren't the best for your child or the environment, but for short time use, they are ok.

D.,
I know it's not exactly chemical free or best for the environment, but I just use Target diapers. They work great, and it's only the "every once in awhile" use. They don't irritate my son's skin either.

we cloth diaper for the most part, but use 7th generation too. i like them. they do have the gel, however, which even though everyone says it's inert, i still question it. i have used "tushies" which are chlorine and gel free, and i liked them too, but because they didn't have the gel they sort of inflate with lots of pee!
