I just booked flights to LA for Christmas this year. I have a 18mo and 3.5 year olds. Any suggestions on things to do, places to stay, etc. I was thinking of Disneyland on Christmas. Has anyone done this? Good experience? Bad?
I don't get much vacation time, and I want to make this memorable for my girls and family!
Need good restaurants to go to as well. My husband is kind of a foodie. :)
Thanks!

What can I do next?

Dessert inn suites anaheim is a good hotel, always cheapest around and also very very close to DL.
Love San Diego, but may be cold that time a year. In SD we do sea port village, ride horse and carriage, see the navy ship docked there, go to fish market, beach, dinner cruise or just an info cruise, we do sd zoo, train museum in palbo park , and we also have done the La Jolla stuff with seals. in sd we love the Bahia and The Dana. Have stayed at Best western and holiday inn as well.
LA has a am girl doll store where you can dress your doll and make over with the child/doll.

Disneyland will definitely be crowded no matter what day you go. It will be worse in the afternoon than in the morning, so maybe go first thing when you wake up and then take a break mid-day for naps, then go back in the evening for dinner and more rides.

How much do you want to travel while you're here and how long are you staying? LA to San Diego is about 2 - 2.5 hours without traffic, so it's not great to do a day trip down there with little kids.

LA has a lot of fun stuff - Zimmer Museum, Santa Monica Pier, Kidspace Museum in Pasadena, CA Science Center

Orange County has Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Pretend City (a great children's museum in Irvine), Balboa Fun Zone

San Diego has Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Legoland (which is really in the north part of the county and more like halfway between Irvine and downtown San Diego)

So many other great things to do, but those are the big ones.

My boys and I spent some time out in LA this summer. We went down to Legoland for one day and it was AWESOME!! It's VERY family friendly for kids of ALL ages. I'd say definitely make this a stop!

Regarding Disneyland on Christmas . . . there was a question about this about a week ago and the responses of those who had done it said it is super crowded on Christmas Day.

There are tons of things to do in San Diego. It's almost never cold there, but just bring a jacket.

Don't know about Disneyland Christmas day. I personally don't like to go there when it's crowded.
