Disney Vacation Pacakages

It is challenging to get a deal with Disney. There are a few ways to do this cheaper. I would not recommend using any non-disney run package deal. Most of them try to bully you into a time share. If you call Disney, they can give you the best deals. Tell them what you want. It is great to stay on their property because of free transportation. They have good deals such as "value" resorts which are about the same or cheaper than other places (and no daily parking fee) and the All-star Music resort has family suites which my family stayed in last December and loved it!! Disney is way better for small children versus Universal. Florida residents also get special deals and your youngest will be free. Good luck!! K.

My husband and I took the kids to Disney last year the day after Christmas as their gift. We got the 4 day hoppers and that helped. Our kids at the time where 5, 2 and 8 months. The kids had a great time, but be prepared to deal with a huge amount of people. And if you look now a lot of hotels have great deals for early booking. I don't know about the whole time share thing. Good luck! And if you go w/ the attitude that it is going to be crowded, you will have a good time. Oh, and the other thing is if there is any ride that you want to do that has a fast pass, when we where there they sold out as early as 2 pm. M.

My husband and I did this a few times. We would usually get 2 nights hotel and 2- 1 day park tickets to Disnely or universal. I think it was about $90-100. I have seen some that are little less and more. Yes, we had to see a boring presentation and then gave all our reasons for why we were not purchasing their vacation package or timeshare. They did ask our jobs and salary but we were vague and gave an "estimate". It was a huge pain for that 90 minutes but so worth it when we had a great day at Disney and had a decent hotel for less than $100. I think one website we used was beginmyvacation.com. We actually booked it on the phone first because they called us (telemarketer). But they have a phone number on the website and I would try calling it. With them we only spent $40. My sister's family is staying at Coronodo Springs (Disney hotel) in mid December for about $110 a night but it includes a food card (worth $30 or $50, I can't remember which). Similar deal was being offered at "family resorts" (aka all star resorts) for slightly cheaper price but the food card had less value too.
I worked at WDW for several years in the 1990's and trust me, you don't want to be there after 12/20/07. The place is packed and you will see few attractions because of long lines. One of the best times to visit all year is in early December. The resorts and parks are beautifully decorated for Christmas but the crowds have not yet arrived. Just note, the Magic Kingdom will close early in the evening for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas event.
