Disney Magic Kingdom/ Universal Discount Tickets

We are considering a vacation to Florida sometime this summer. I started to look at ticket prices and was shocked. I was there 6 years ago and prices were much cheaper. Does anyone have any greats suggestions on getting/finding discount tickets? I only want to spend one day at the Magic Kingdom, one day at Universal and maybe one day at Busch Gardens so the multi-day passes aren't right for us. Haven't found anything great online yet but maybe someone out there has knowledge of the best place to get discounted tickets. I did find some sites that offer discounted tickets if you attend a 2hr. timeshare. Has anyone gone to one of these and received tickets? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

We have been visiting Disney since it opened. Two of our children worked for Disney, one as a Mouse! It certainly has grown and gotten much more expensive but then so has everything else! They have really been pushing deals on the multi-day passes, but as you, we prefer to focus on one park and you certainly do not want to miss Universal. Do you know that if you buy a multi-day, you can use them on your future visits also? My daughter finds this the best value. Also, if you go to Disney websites, you can find hotel deals that include passes. The Value hotels in Disney, the All Stars offer these. If you have not stayed there, the rooms are decent. They have at least two pools and they have a food court area which is great for families and bus service to all Disney properties. We preferred to pay the regular price rather than use our vacation time to listen to a sales pitch. That being said, go to hotel websites and you will find some that are time shares where you stay at the time share location and they offer info there and some include tickets either free or reduced. Most of these are in Kissimmee. It's cheaper than Disney properties and they usually have bus service to and from parks. If you are going in the summer, try to avoid August. That is winter break time for Brazil and they come in large groups or tours, making lines everywhere very long. As an afterthought, we were at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg IL and spoke with a Disney timeshare rep. I think they had some deals also.

Discouted tickets really do not exist especially for one day passes. I have
searched over the years and the best I came up with is maybe $8 thru
AAA. Howevever, it would cost me that much in gas back and forth to the
AAA office LOL. Usually the package deals are the best, but it does not
sound like it will work for you.

A lot of the hotels will offer discounts to stay at them, and there's even shops out here that sell them. But you have to be here to get them you cant buy them in advance. Oh and my husband is from Wheeling lol

There are stores around here that sell "discount" tickets, but a lot of them get busted because they are not all legit. Go through the park sites directly.

I know that Disney does not transfer tickets, I am not sure about Universal or Busch Gardens. If you have a triple AAA membership you can try through them, that is the only one that I know of that works with the parks.

You can check craiglists and also post and Ad. Be sure to mention that you will pay the person inside the gate(When you will be inside the park). We save half of the price!

The military gets a pretty good discount. Not sure if that applies to you though. Buying your tickets off season will help a lot too. We just bought U. Studios Hollywood season passes for a 1 day admission price.

I would suggest calling Disney directly too. Sometimes they have specials and sometimes they will just work with you.
