Dinosaurs ~ RaWr!

Today I took my 3 year to a park in my local area that I hadn't been to for YEARS. We were going to a duck park to play at, and my car just ended up at this place. We Looked around and saw a walking path to follow and away we went. It was completly shaded with beautiful lush trees, amazing flowers and wildlife was everywhere. My son would say things like, "MOMMY, look at that HUGE squirrl" (the squirrl being only about 6 inches long!) "Mommy, lets walk over the bridge to the high tower." (Like in Dora the Explorer.) "Oh look at these LOVELYYY benches we can sit on Mama" (LOVE it when he calls me Mama!) "Awwwwwwwwww, look at that little bunny rabbit eating his breakfast grass." "I'm so so so so so sooooooo thirsty. Lets go explore for water"

We then adventured up to the park 'house' and discovered it was a museum. With dinosaurs! Of course we had to check that out. It was a very small quaint little place with dinosaur replicas that roared and moved a bit. We spent 2 HOURS going from the four rooms. "This dinosaur is saying hi to me!" "Why is that one looking at me so much, does he want to be friends?"

Today I saw so many different things through the eyes of my little 3 year old. I think the world would be SUCH a BETTER place if we could everyday, every moment, see and apprecaite all the little things! The HUGE squirrls! The LOVELY benches! Being excited about exploring for water. I love my kids so much and today was a day that I just couldn't keep to myself!

What can I do next?

That's one of the HUGE upsides to ADHD. We see the world in a slightly different way than most people, and there's a sense of awe/wonder that is unmistakeable that most people lose when they 'grow up'. Whenever people start talking about the downsides (of which, there are many), I smile a little smile, and know that the upsides are FAR more precious.

The world is the MOST amazing playground :) :) :)
