My daughter is 2 and half years old she knows how to use the potty most of the time, my only problem is she wears pull-ups at night and she likes to take them off right after we leave the room. When I get her up in the mornings or after her nap her bed is soaked she absolutly refuses to leave her pull-ups on. I do her laundry at least once a day sometimes more. So my question is how do I get her to leave her clothes and pull-ups on????? I have tried everything I am so lost on what to do. I hope someone has some helpfull hints. I would really apprieate it and I thank you in advance for your responses....... HELP!!!!!!!!!

What can I do next?

My daughter was also day time potty trained before two but slept in a pullup until closer to three. We did not have this same problem of removing the pull up but I did have diaper removal problems with her and now her little brothers. I got my daughter pretty panties and put them OVER the diaper, this way she saw the prettys and she had a hard time getiing the diaper off. The boys are still small enough that I can put onsies one them. Just some thing to make removing them harder for her. Good luck.

I recommend tossing all the pull-ups. My personal opinion is that pull-ups defeat the purpose of potty training and are confusing to a child trying to learn to get to the toilet. I suggest getting a good waterproof mattress pad (or a couple) and start putting her to bed in panties. My daughter (though I completely understand not all children are the same) just had to pee on herself and wet her bed once or twice to get the picture (once she was truly ready to potty train).

Good luck! Stay patient!

I remember with my son we went straight from diapers to training underwear. He stayed dry the very first night!
Maybe she doesn't like the feel of the pull ups. I think
sometimes its a subconscious thing. What have you got to lose?
Tell her she gets to wear big girl underwear like mommy.

I do this with my 3 year old. She says the pull-ups itch. SO we put underwear under her pull-up. She stays dry and we can use the pull-up more than once. GOod luck.

Hi K.,

My daughter is having similar problems with my grandson who will be 2. She is now using overalls on him! SO far so good. Hope this helps. My other grandson will be 5 in May and he is potty trained, however he sleeps so deeply, that he wets the bed allot. He wears pull ups to bed, but they are over full by morning time. She says that she stops giving him liquids after 6 p.m. So that is a problem she needs help on. Any suggestions anyone?
Blessings,
Cath

My daughter was horrible about doing this also. It helped when she wore PJ pants but did not eliminate the problem. Luckily for the most part she stayed dry at night. I just worked to potty train her as fast as I could so it wasn't a huge issue so by 2 1/2 we took her pull ups away at night and she may have an occasional accident.

My daughter Trinity use to do the same thing, so I bought some onesies for her and she had a hard time trying to unbutton them. they worked for a while maybe it would help you. I use to think they didn't make them for 2 yr olds, but I found them at wal-mart.
