I'm looking for a mom's group in the Broomfield or Westminster area. I have a 2 week old and she is our first, so I could really use the advice and input from other moms.

What can I do next?

J.,
I am part of a MOPS group (Mothers of Preschoolers)-- really kids newborn - kindergarten. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month. The first meeting is Sept. 11 at 9am! We have speakers, crafts, time to connect with other moms and a great support group! There is childcare, but you can also keep your newborn with you! If you want a coupon for a free meeting, respond to this message with your email and I can send one to you! Oh, we meet on South Boulder Rd. in Boulder -- it is really between Louisville and Boulder. Hope to see you there!

Hey J. - When we moved here I joined the MOMs club to meet new people. I really wished I would have done it before with my first baby. It's been great. The MOMs club is an international club with chapters all over. There is a Broomfield Chapter and a Westminster Chapter, just depends where you live. I think the website is www.momsclub.org. There is a chapter link on the bottom left corner. We do a moms night out, there's a book club, walking club, play groups, recipe club, along with outings to parks, a wide variety of things to do. Hope this helps, and don't worry, it gets easier : )

I can recommend MOMS Club, too, as I've been a member at a few. Also, Mothers and More is supposed to be good...we just moved to Broomfield also, and I haven't done a bunch of research for moms clubs just yet.
I did meet the facilitator of a group for Broomfield, called Parenting Place, boulderparenting.org is the website.

Hi J.,
I would like to invite you to a Moms group that I go to. We are having an open house on Tuesday September 9th. I would love to meet you and have you join us. It is at Crossroads church off of 128th and I-25. The open house is from 9:00 to 11:00. It is free for you and there is also free childcare if you need it. However, your little one can be in the room with us if you feel more comfortable with that. We have a lot of fun. You can check out our website at www.crossroadswomenmin.com. Let me know if you are planning on coming and I would love to see you there. Thanks, L. Olmstead

I'm in a Yahoo group of moms (and a couple of dads) from around the Denver area.

It's mostly online, but we also have some playgroups, MNOs and other outings with/without the kiddoes. Some of us are on our 2nd kids now (my 2nd is 6 months old... so some of the kids are around your daughter's age) but there's an age range of about 6 years or so. And at least one mom who's pregnant now.

Check it out at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/My-Co-Moms/

Hi J.,

I am part of a group called the Westminster Healthy Active Moms, which can be found on the meetup.com website. Here is the website for it:
http://moms.meetup.com/1615/
We walk together (with strollers and sometimes little kids on bikes) two times a week at different parks around the area, and we also do lots of other things together. It's a great group to be part of.

I have a meetup greoup on your area and it is a great group of moms. We would love to have you come to one of our get togethers. I will be posting some more for Sept. very soon. I totally agree that moms need to be around other moms and hope we get a chance to meet you soon.

J.-

Congratulations on your newborn! How exciting! I recommend looking into the Moms Club of Westminster. Although I have kids who are 4 and 6 now, the club saved my life! I met all of my best friends through this club and our playgroup has been together since our youngest was 4 months old! I believe you can look up Moms Clubs, but the email of the President is ____@____.com name is Kathleen and you can tell her you got her name from, me, K. Mattei. I wish you the best and hope to see you around some club events!
