Desperate Need of Haircut

We recently moved to the area and I haven't had a haircut since before the move (about 4 months ago). Any suggestions of places you have gone and gotten a good cut would be great. I live in the Kensington/Rockville area. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Ask for Elizabeth. She's done my hair for years and did my hair for my wedding, too. I think she's great.

Hi,

Not sure if you are familiar with the Olney area. There is a Salon called Venus. The month of March they are offering discounts on some of the services. I think new clients get a discount as well (may want to ask about that one)
My stylist is Stephanie and she's great!

Good luck on you search!

I don't know if this will be too far, but I go to Sabatelli's in Laurel, MD. They're on Main Street. They have reasonable prices, fabulous stylists (my favorite is Cheryl) and can get you in pretty quickly.

I go to Kim at Salon Familia which is on Livingston St. right off Connecticut Ave. in DC just South of Chevy Chase circle. It's great b/c they have a play area for kids with a TV and lots of videos so my kids can hang out and have fun while I get my haircut. It's a little pricey ($55), but I've been going to Kim for over 10 years.

Hi,

I go to Roxi at Alchemy Salon in the Silver Spring area...off of Rt. 29 in the same shopping center as Trader Joes & California Tortilla. I have been seeing Roxi for years! She used to be at Hugo's in Wheaton, then Luxuria and then decided to open her own salon a few years ago. I even used to schedule visits home around my hair appointments when I lived in California! I have seen a few other stylists along the way when I couldn't get an appointment and was desperate for color/highlights and have never had a bad experience. Good Luck!

Hi A.,
I've been going to "Bubbles" for about 9 months now and have been pleasantly impressed! I've been to the Tyson's Corner mall location but most recently I've gone to the Fall Grove location. Affordable and all the girls seem really talented and always busy. I have a short hairstyle (if that matters!)
