I am possibly looking at changing current daycares and is wondering if anyine has any recommendations or centers that i should stay away from. My son will be two and looking for a little more structured and educational setting if possible.
Thanks for all the feed back I am glad I found this site it is very helpful to hear other parents thoughts or recommendations. I am narrowing my search to tutor time on 14 and van dyke and kids learning connection on john r between 18-19 mile road and discovery corner academy on 16 mile in troy. Does anyone have any feed back about those centers good or bad.

I take my 22 month old to Katie's Kids in Royal Oak. We have been there since Aug. and I have really liked my experiences there. Good luck in your search.
My wonderful step-mother has been doing home daycare in Royal Oak for 15 years but due to the recent economic crisis, she has lost some of her kids because of lay-offs. She is licensed, accepts infants-5 yrs old, and is honestly one of the best daycare providers I have ever known. I might be a tad biased....but I have seen a lot of daycares in my day and she is phenomenal! She provides a very loving environment and takes her daycare very seriously. She asked me to post on here on her behalf since she wasn't familiar with the website. She is located close to downtown Royal Oak. I don't know of any BAD ones, but two good ones I recommend are:
- Clawson Child Care Center (thru the public schools)
- Discovery Corner Academy (on Big Beaver in Troy)
I would recommend Macomb Christian Schools Early Education Center. They have Daycare and pre-school and early kg. They all have a K-12 School. My children have been at MCS for 7 years and my husband and I love it. You can call Mrs. Jeanie Beck at ###-###-####. I think you would be very happy.
