My husband and I are anticipating the arrival of our first baby on June 13th! We are having a boy, and his name is Zachary. I am using FMLA to take 3 months off of work, but as of now, I have to go back afterwards. We are trying our hardest to find a way to keep one of us at home for the first year of our son's life. Unfortunately, this may not work, so I was wondering if anyone could recommend daycares in the area (Lehigh Acres/Fort Myers). We are both very nervous about putting him in daycare, but that may be our only option. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I am in the same boat as you. I just had my son 3 weeks ago and am now starting to face the reality that finding an afordable nanny isn't going to happen. We have done a lot of research and have decided on Wellington for now. Everything seems to be positive about them so you might want to check into it. As every daycare they get filled up quick so you have to let them know a few months ahead of time.

Good Luck!

Well, I am in Cape Coral. I would reccomend www.myflorida.com/childcare to find a registereed or licensed provider. Also, referrals are your answer. Ask EVERYONE you know if they might know someone!

Good luck! :)

Hi D.... I have 15 month old twins and they go to Growing Gods Way at McGregor Baptist Church (on Colonial. They both LOVE it there. They have been going there since that were 12 weeks old and it was such a smooth transition for my husband and I. Everyone always told me that you will know if your child is happy at his or her daycare, which is SO true! My children light up everyday when we pull into the parking lot.

I hope this helps, Good Luck!

D.,

My 5 year old son has been at Daniels Academy off of Daniels Parkway since he was 8 weeks old and now my 10 month old Daughter is there in their infant room. They have been wonderful with my children. I am completely confident with them and recommend them highly. Should you be interested, please contact Lissy at ###-###-####.

Category: Au Pairs

AuPairCare is the leading au pair agency providing dependable in home au pair childcare services to American families. Designated by the U.S. Department of State since 1989.

Here are 5 good reasons for hosting an au pair...

1. Safety! In-home childcare eliminates daycare gerns such as swine flu or colds.

2. It Is Affordable! At $320/week, it is less than the cost of most daycare for 2+ children and more affordable than a nanny. The cost does NOT increase with the number of children in the household.

3. FLEXIBLE Schedule! Since you set the schedule, you never have to rush from work to pick up your child at daycare. Au pairs can work nights and weekends too.

4. Dedicated Childcare! Your children will receive more attention. They will spend days, going to the park, reading books, learning a song in another language, cooking, doing crafts, playing ball, swimming...

5. Cultural Influence! Expose your children to a different culture. Learning new languages, foods, customs and traditions is a life long valuable experience for your family.

AND it is surprisingly affordable at about $7.00/hour!

Choose your au pair and PAY NOTHING until 30 days before your au pair's arrival. Plus when you choose our Family Friendly Payment Plan we'll waive the administrative fee – that's a FREE application, FREE match and no payment plan fee – over $650 in savings!

You must apply by June 1, 2009 to take advantage of these savings & use promo code: PAYLATER
