Hi Beata,I don't have curly hair anymore but i wanted to tell you my story just in case. My sister and I had very curly hair when we were kids (golden locks kind), my mom says that it was a little damage so she decide to cut it short and thought it will grow more curly, but it didn't!! Our hair is now barely wave and never got our curly har back. I don't know why this happens or if it happens to everyone but I want to let you know just in case.

My younger son and I both have extremely curly hair and I have tried all kinds of products thru the years believe me! However.....the best product we have liked is also the least expensive and easy to find....Sunsilk De-Frizz....it's in a green bottle. Make sure you get the green kind. You can find it a walmart, Publix, Target....anywhere. It has a wonderful smell and you can put it in while the hair is wet and comb it thru. very easy and clean. Hope this helps! Gives beautiful curls and doesn't leave a heavy sticky feel.

Hi Beata,

When my daughter was that young my goal was to let it grow out long as she has the spiral curls. She is now seven and her hair is gorgeous. It is very time consuming. We use the Redken products, gel for ringlets, and detangling gel. It makes her hair really pretty. If her hair is dry, you can limit her hair washes by spraying her hair with a mix of conditioner and water and combing it out, or if it's not to long I used to comb it out with my fingers and the curls stayed in place better. I had to find someone who specializes in curly hair, as the cut is different as well. She sounds like a doll! The only issue I have now with my daughter with her hair is she gets so many compliements she is becoming vane, not the result I wanted but that's another issue.

Hi,

I do not have a daughter with curly hair (yet...she is 4 month old), however, I have curly hair and what helps a lot is infusium 23. Of course, it is a mission for me to brush my hair so it only happens every two to three days (usually put it up in a bun during does days or it says a certain way because of the gel products). However, you probably bathe your baby everyday so use conditioner to detangle if it gets tangled up and infusium 23 for managing the curls. Hope this helps. You can email me if you have any specific questions or issues that you encounter with her hair.

My three year old has curly hair as well and neither her dad or I do. So we have tried lots of products to keep her curls looking their best. I am interested in seeing others advice too. We use TRESemme` shampoo not for any other reason except thats what we use. I only bring this up for one point. I have been told that the baby tear less formulas have a incredibly high ph (the highest in any shampoo tested) and that they damage hair. The only reason that they don't burn the eyes is that they have an numbing agent added. With that said, I used them on my daughters hair for months before my hair stylist told me that. I did notice a better result with non baby shampoo. We use a detangling spray and Biosilk serum (silk therapy) it keeps hair from getting frizzy during the day. My little girl doesn't really like a lot of time spent on her hair, she has better things to do. So I have about ten minutes in the morning before she losses her patients. Good Luck. I hope you find something that is helpful and if you do let me know.

I have a 4year old that has beautiful blonde curly hair, I took her yeterday to get it trimmed for the first time, and the stylist told me that using baby shampoo on her hair is straightening it out some, so I need to switch over to an adult curly shampoo and that it should start to put the curl back in her hair. Apparently there is something in the baby shampoo that is also in hair straightening components. Hope this helps.
