Dabbing Oil from a Face with Makeup on Without Having to Reapply?

It is currently 103 degrees here in Texas and humid to boot. I went job searching today in this heat. My face got so oily on top of my makeup and it's so embarrasing. How can you dab your oil away without it ruining your makeup? I have mild acne and an uneven skin tone so I have to wear foundation to cover, especially when looking for a job! lol.
Sorry to seem so clueless, but I am a bit of a tomboy.

What can I do next?

I've had numerous "oily" friends over the years who just use tissue. Facial tissue and TP both work. Press it on the oily area, hold for a second, peel away. It leaves the makeup right where it belongs.

Along with the blotters listed below, I suggest you look into mineral makeup. It's amazing what it covers and it will reduce the pore clogging and extra layer of liquid on your skin... I was using Bare Minerals which I love, but have recently started using the Mary Kay version which I believe is better and costs less. I have a MK consultant (http://www.marykay.com/skolar/), but you can get the product even cheaper off ebay once you find out what color you need.

Arbonne has a great product that you put on under and or over your make up that will not remove it but take that oil away. It is called FC5 Mattifying PowderTranslucent oil-absorbing powder takes away unwanted shine, while reducing the appearance of redness for a perfect, matte finish. Dusts on lightly over or under moisturizer or makeup. This product is loved and used by my cllients that have acne challenged and oily skin we have products to help with the oil and the acne both. Contact me in a private reply and I will give you my web address and email address and I can answer any questions you have.

Don't laugh but this is my favorite trick and it really works on super oily faces! Next time you are in a public restroom, swipe a bunch of the toilet seat covers. Cut them up and use them to dab your face. They remove the oil but not the makeup. I'm serious! It works better than oil blotting paper and you can make them bigger to cover more square footage! :)

I have to wear foundation to because of my skin tone too. I don't wear anything that is heavy (liquid foundations are the worst for my skin). I use Maybelline dream mousse (its a whipped foundation) and it feels great, very light weight. Then if I get oily I use the clean &clear oil absorbing sheets (I usually find mine at Target, sometimes walmart has them). If I am out and about I just carry a powder compact just in case. Good Luck!

OK... Here is the best tip I have ever seen... and I do it all of the time :)

The toilet seat liners (in the dispenser that you stick over the seat to protect yourself) are made from the same material as face oil blotters. Next time you potty, pull one of those out and hold it to you face. If you don't wipe it around, your makeup will stay put!

Good luck on the job search!

Oil blotting papers are good. Think about using an oil free moisturizer too, I know that you are probably thinking that this will make you oily, but oily skin needs water just as much as dry skin does, and if your skin has water in it, it may produce a little less oil, and even if it doesn't, you will find that your skin looks and feels better in and out of makeup.

Hi- I'm an Esthetician and Makeup Artist. I would suggest starting with what you put on your skin before your makeup. Definitely use something to matte your skin prior to applying your makeup. Also, I use a makeup primer (M.A.C. is my fav) first, then apply a small amount of foundation. The primer is going to interact with your makeup and hold it on better. Then after I'm completely finished I use a translucent setting powder (also by M.A.C.) and then spray with a finishing spray (it's refreshing and oil free), it will help keep everything in place!
