Am I missing something or are there really deals to be had? While waiting in the Black Friday lines people were eluding to the fact that stores would be offering the same deals online on Cyber Monday if not better. I'm just not seeing it. What am I missing?

What can I do next?

Just like stores on Black Friday, Cyber Monday deals are hit or miss. I found a few deals, like Kodak.com had 30% off and free shipping on the photo ornaments I wanted for my niece and nephews so that saved me some money. Other stores you had to spend a high amount before you could get free shipping so I would rather just drive to the store.

I found alot of the deals being offered are the same and stores were already sold out on Friday. If they were sold out online friday they aren't magically going to be in stock on Monday. I find it best to shop sales through out the year then to wait for Black Friday to roll around. I like to be done shopping and gifts wrapped by the time Thanksgiving rolls around.

Obviously my answer is too late for this year, but maybe next year check out deals online during the week of Thanksgiving. I found the best deals online on Thanksgiving Day. Amazon's Thanksgiving Day sale on DVD's was better than their Black Friday deals. I saw a lot of retailers doing Black Friday deals all week to help with the mobs they get on Black Friday. Walmart staggered the start of their Black Friday sales so there wasn't mass hysteria after the incidents of injuries and even a death in past years.

All my shopping was done before Halloween, partly because a lot of places were having great sales this fall. It was nice to have items in stock and not have to fight the crowds. Who knows what the retail market will be like next year?

Once upon a time, like 15 years ago (I kid you not), when Cyber Monday was coming into creation, there were great deals to be had. Now, it's all a joke.

The TV my hubby wanted? It was 200 less at the beginning of last week. As "black friday" approached? It went up.

Many of the "deals" aren't deals.

I personally haven't seen any sales that are better than the usual sales (save for Walgreens last week). They were giving away stuff like crazy.

I'm finding the same thing. I'm not seeing any really good deals. Luckily I don't have too much left to buy. There were a few things I wanted from Kohl's but you have to spend $75 to get the free shipping so it's cheaper for me to just run to the store and buy the stuff I want.

It all depends on what you're looking for. Walmart.com had a lot of TVs on sale online today. The Children's Place issued a coupon code for 25% off everything, Amazon has some pretty good deals right now too. You just really have to look. You'll only find really good Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales on BIG ticket items. You're not going to find toys really marked down. They want to hook you with the big ticket items. So, it just really depends on what you're looking for.

nothing. There are deals to be had but not likely as much as there are in store. Not to mention you have to wade through tons of websites to find one thing. I will say that my dh did find a nice deal on a Toshiba laptop 15.6" with Win 7 on it and it was only $300 at Best Buy. It had what he needed, not a lot of extras but definitely a great deal for the money. I don't think I have seen anything better than I had found in the walmart/target fliers or even a large amount of stuff. Black Friday is by far the better choice for great deals. But if you take time to surf the net, you can find some good ones.

I did lots of shopping online on Black Friday (lots of deals minus the line) on amazon.com, toysrus.com, walmart.com and target.com. I was also looking for a camera deal, so I was checking bestbuy.com and the such. As far as cyber Monday, I really stuck to just amazon.com (though I peeked at the others-not too much that I didn't already get on Friday), but you have to check by every 30 mins or so at amazon because they have new things that pop up every few mins and they tend to go quick! Check it out...some good deals-especially on video games and such if you have kids or relatives who play those things as my DH does!

I do most of my shopping online and Cyber Monday is a joke. From what I've seen, the deals are basically the same as they are when they have sales/coupons throughout the year. If there are stores that you like, sign up to get their emails and you will get alot of coupons that you can use online. I do that with Old Navy/Gap, Children's Place, Gymboree... also if you want to see who is having deals in store and online, go to Slickdeals.net. Everyday, throughout the day you'll see new posts about deals that stores are having. My husband checks this site everyday.

the best one that I have found is Piperlime has 20% off today only. A good deal if you like higher end stuff b/c I don't think there are any exclusions-which is unusual. I go through Ebates to get an extra 8% off.
