I love to use Microsoft Photo Story. You can download it for free off Microsofts website. I just googled Photo Story and it gave me Microsofts webpage and I downloaded it there!! Hope this helps!

Okay, so this may not help you now, but for anyone else reading this and in the market to buy a new computer. We have an apple mac and LOVE it. It does everything such as creating musical slide shows, your own website, movies, etc. It is also extremely user friendly for those of us who aren't computer geeks and don't understand all the computer and software jargon. I have made my own family website and included a slide show of my daughter when she was born with music I chose to go with it.

My hubby does this for graduations, weddings, and what-not. He uses Roxio and Pinnacle Hollywood FX the most. Hope that helps.

Try Microsoft Photo Story 3. It's a free download off their site. Just do a search. I use it a bunch. You can import pictures and music and it'll automatically add transitions, etc. It's a good program and it is free!

Just fyi, I am in the process of starting my own little thing doing JUST this sort of thing, I am currently working full time for a production company, and would like to stay at home after my 2nd baby is born. I thought since I have so much experience doing this sort of thing (and we get plenty of calls for it in the office) that I would try it on my own. I still haven't gotten all of my prices down yet but I'm working on it. So if you in the future or anyone else would like to not have to fuss with it, just let me know and i can put it all together. And also, if anyone has any suggestions on pricing I will take it all into consideration and come up with something.

(Tayrn, Sorry to kinda use your post as a spring board, but it's just really weird that you would ask this at this time)

We've used several in the past & have found a really found our favorite in Google's Picasa! It is a free download and it is so easy that anyone can do it. Once you load it onto your computer from Google's site, you can go into it & either select the pictures you want it to import or you can select the option for the program to automatically find your pictures. We use the auto. option and it found all of the photos on our computer and they are all now in one place.

Once you get your pictures imported (which takes very little time) you just puts all the ones you want to do a slideshow of into one folder. Once that's done, click on the slideshow button at the top of the page and it opens a slideshow. Go to the bottom of the first picture and you select how many seconds you want the pics to stay up for. If you want to add music, just go to the tool, choose options and select the slideshow tab. From there you can pick the song off of your hard drive that you want to play with it.

There are lots of other programs, but after using several of them I have to say that Picasa is so easy and quick. On some of the others you can to select each picture (one by one) and it takes forever! Hope this helps!
