I am looking for a consignment shop that takes kids clothes that gives a fair price for them. I have alot of baby girl clothes and boy toddler clothes and a few place I went would only give me $.50 to $.75 for an outfit. None of the clothes have stains or anything. Any help would be great.

Thanks
J.

I have had the best luck with EBAY. You name the price you start at and made way more than I would've sold them at a garage sale. I tried it that way too and everyone offers you less than what you want. On EBAY, you start at what you want and people fight for it. Usually do better when I sell several pieces together rather than one item, but have done it that way too!

Hi,
I would try Kid to Kid, I have never sold anything to them, I just buy from them!! Also, you might consider selling them on Ebay. I have done this with almost all of my daughters clothing. I just put them into different "lots" and list them for a certain price(starting lower seems to work better) and then see where it takes me! I have made about $300-$350 on her clothes. If you would like to know more on how I do it just email me.

If you want to make the most money, you should wait until the Just Between Friends sale in the spring or the fall. They only take spring/summer clothes at the one coming up, but they are usually very picky and only take non-stained clothes. You tag and hang it yourself, so you set your own price, which you get to keep 70%. You can also sale toys, kid/baby furniture, gear, maternity clothes, etc. I am not associated with the sale, but I have made some nice cash selling my stuff there. You can find their website and it will even give you exact instructions on how to hang and tag the clothes. They are picky because it makes the sale go smoother to have everything done the same way. You could go ahead and tag them when you have time. There is one in your area, although I've never been to that one. They also have sales in Fort Worth and Arlington, so you can go to whichever is convenient to you. It takes a little work, but it made the difference in $20 for clothes or $150 for clothes for me.

Kid 2 Kid is also what I was going to suggest. I love that store. We shop there a lot, and we have a few things we're wanting to bring in. It's right off of 377 beside Albertson's at Watauga and North Tarrant Pkwy. Good luck!

There really arent alot of places. Kid to Kid told me they give you a little under garage sale prices on your items. You actually are better shopping there vs. selling there. I sold some things on e-bay and did pretty well (better than I would have at Kid to Kid). I still feel that I make the most when I have a garage sale. If you present the items well on hangers and as sets youd be suprized what people are willing to pay for nice clothes....this is mainly b/c they know how much the thirt stores/e-bay/Kid to Kid are charging. Well good luck with selling...Im considering trying to open a consigment/resale shop someday b/c this area is really in need of some more.
