I'm considering selling scentsy for some extra money. Is it worth my time? I've been to a few parties and love the product. I keep raving about it, and people are like you love this stuff so much, you should sell it. I'm interested in hearing about anyone elses experiences with the company good or bad, I'd love to hear it all! thank you all so much

Hi there, it's kind of a hard question to answer.
It really depends how committed to your scentsy success.
I have been helping my grandmother sell it since October of 2010. So only a few months and she's made over $400.
Now she has made about $2,000 in sales so far and had a number of sales.
You could do this in one month depending on your parties. It really all depends how much you like it, how many people you get out to your parties.
You start making real money when you have people under you that are making money too...Kind of like a pyramid thingy I guess.
But it's not a scam you do get real money.
It's amazing product as you have already found that out.
If you would like to know more, feel free to msg me anytime and we can talk.
My email is ____@____.com
and our website is https://fnidosky.scentsy.ca
If you do decide to sign up and it is under us, I will give you a free warmer from my personal collection to help start your growing business!
I can ship it or depending where you are i'll buy you one and send it to you.

I'm not sure what path you decided to take with the home party business, but I sell Scentsy-I started at the end of September. I absolutely LOVE it. I have made just under $2200 for Oct, Nov and Dec. I have only done a handful of parties too. Scentsy is a lot like any other home party business-you get out of it what you put in. I have been making 30% of my sales and it honestly sells itself. Even with the crappy economy people are buying it like crazy-it is fairly new in many areas which is good b/c the consultants arent overpopulating an area. There are many things to consider when looking into home party businesses-here is why I decided to go with Scentsy in comparison to some of the other companies-starter kit is only $99, free shipping on party orders, no credit card fees, no inventory you have to keep, you only have to sell $150 worth of product every THREE months, your website is free for the first month and then only $10/month after that...I could go on, but if you want more info or anything please feel free to email me or visit my website(not sure if I can put it in this response) and click on the join link where it will provide you with any info you may need!!! Best of luck to you and Happy New Year!!!!

I hope you do consider Scentsy! I love being a consultant. I have tried many other party companies and never found the right fit. Scentsy is the fastest growing company in the history of the DSA. If you ever wanted to be at the start of something big....Scentsy is the company for you! I'd be happy to chat with you about Scentsy!

I have 3 girlfriends who all sell scentsy and really like it! They all work full time jobs as well, and still make quite a bit of extra money. The product is a nice price point for parties, and most people like candles. I almost decided to sell it, but fell in love with a jewelry company that I decided to try instead.. which has been great as well. Let me know if you need a connection with Scentsy! In my opinion, the only negative with the product is that it has to be plugged in to work, vs an actual candle that can sit anywhere. Good luck!

Hi - upon browsing today I saw this post although it's kindof old. Did you ever get your questions answered? I am a Director for Scentsy and selling it has been one of the biggest blessings of my life - for many reasons! I would love to talk with you more about it if you are still interested. Selling Scentsy is definitely worth your time and money! Our new consultant kit is the best ever - you wouldn't believe what you get upon start up for $99.

Hi C.,
I was considering a similar option, but decided to sell Usborne Children's Books instead. I am in my early 30's and also have 3 kids. Most of our friends and family have kids so I figured I'd have a lot of people who may be interested. The start-up fees were pretty low, plus there are no "Minumus" to remain a consultant. My thought was even if it didn't "work-out" I would end up with great books for my kids. I'm guessing you'd be in a similar position with the product from your company (as far as you having "extras" of a product you love.)

1 thing I found to be helpful was that Usborne Books gives each consultant a personal website. So far almost all of my sales have been from that. I like this b/c when someone tells me they don't have time to come to a party I can still share my website and generate sales that way. With it being the beg. of the school year I haven't had a home party yet.

I don't have any knowledge on the company you were asking about, but so far I am happy with selling these Children's Books. I'm sure you can make it work with Scentsy as well. Here's my website just incase you want to look into Usborne Books:

Good Luck!

Hi C.
I wouldn't call it a scam but I would say that it may not make good economical sense given today's economy. Meaning, how often will people buy from you and will you be able to make the money you want. People will always buy basic needs no matter how bad the economy. But when it comes to basic wants, they may not purchase much or purchase often.

The company I've been with for the last 5 years since loosing my job in Feb 2004 addresses needs. Because of this, 95% of my customers that shopped this month, will shop again next month. Many of them are still with me and have been shopping monthly since my start in June 2004. This provides me a check even in the months I don't do any business.

If you'd like to take a look at my business, I'd be honored to meet you for coffee in the Plainfied/Naperville area or online for a webinar.

Regards,

M.

Realize that almost all these home-based sales positions (Usborne books, Lia Sophia, etc) are almost always non-profitable. When you consider time spent traveling, money spent on gas, and start-up costs, you will be lucky to break even. The people who win are those who recruit others to work (a classic Ponzi scheme). Don't waste your time. It always amazes me how many women fall for these scams. We are all tired of going to these parties. They are boring, and most of us would rather go out and shop and not feel pressure to buy something we don't really like. Better to take a class, get certified in something, and then go to work. Hopefully I was helpful...

I just started selling Scentsy this month.. My whole family sells this product and I cannot BELIEVE how easy it has been!!! My cousins have quit their full time jobs as nurses and sell full time and make a unbelievable salaries. I am doing this as a part time job right now for some extra vacation/home rennovation money, but my business has already turned into more than I expected. I am NOT a salesperson and didn't know how I would feel about sales, but I think your ability to genuinely promote a product will come across to customers and in turn bring you more sales because you aren't "pushy." If you have any questions let me know.. I would love to answer them in an honest way.

hello,

actually i have been working with a few different home based jobs and the one i have found to be the most lucrative so far is Stella and Dot. I came from a fashion background so I sort of feel right at home with this company. The marketing and packaging alone sells itself. Women go nuts for this jewelry line, it has been featured in Lucky Mag, InStyle, Redbook and Angelina Jolie, Paris Hilton even Penelope Cruz have been seen wearing the latest pieces. This is a huge seller right now for holiday so it would be a great opportunity for you to become a stylist. check out my site and let me know what you think. www.stelladot.com/sites/christinamarcantelli
