Hello Mammas, eventhough my marriage was not perfect and my husband and I had started talking about divoce last Saturday He informs me yesterday that he is having an affair and is moving out and in with her. We have 2 kids(7,3) I am blindsided that he is doing this because he was talking about having a year seperation and doing everything amicably so the judge would see that we can work together and everything would be easy peasy. He divided bills and set up a suggested amount and everything. I want a divorce and need advide on lawyers and how to proceed. Help:(

Just be sure that you interview your attorney in order to make your determination. Since you live in Denton County, ask the attorney how many times he/she has appeared in front of a judge in Denton County (it does make a difference to have an attorney who is familiar with the judges who sit in that county). Also ask enough questions that you feel comfortable with what actions he/she will take and how much will be relegated to someone else in the firm.

This story sounds so familiar, I went thru this exactly one year ago.. I also live in The Colony. I have 2 boys (7yr. old & 4 yr. old). My husband came and told me the exact thing, he was having an affair and was moving in with her after school was over. It has been really h*** o* myself and the boys but we are doing really good.
