Hi, I want to do a coffee themed kitchen.
We have white cabinets, and already have tile on the walls with specks of brown in them
I am leaning more towards burnt reds and burnt oranges.... I usually buy my paint from home depo and i was wondering if anyone else has this theme or know of a great paint color.

What can I do next?

excellent color choices.....I would also recommend adding a few pops of color- such as a bright green.

My son's bedroom walls are Valspar "mocha syrup".....his accessories are black, wood tones, & lots of orange & lime green. It works very well! The color is not dark, not dingy.....it just feels warm & soothing! I would use it in my main spaces if he hadn't grabbed it first.

& as other posters have said, I would begin with the artwork.

I think you need to start with an "inspiration" piece and pull colors from that. I found four cooradinating coffee plaques in very warm blues, greens and browns and used them as my starting point. My walls are beige, (can't change b/c open floorplan) so I got curtains, dishtowels, placesettings, floormats, etc. in the colors I pulled from the plaques. Came out pretty nice IMHO! Good luck to you.

Walmart carries coffee themed curtains made by Better Homes and Gardens. They are very cute. You can also get some cute posters with the coffee theme at allposters.com. I also think that the color taupe may look cute with the burnt reds and oranges.

I have a coffee-bistro themed kitchen. My cabinets are painted an antique white and my walls are painted a slate blue.I have black and white tiled floors. I found fantastic metal coffee artwork and plaques on ebay. com, amazon.com, and etsy.com. These 3 sites offer great prices, good value and some very unique items. You can also find some nice items on TouchofClass.com. Most of the plaques are black, antique copper, dark brown or wood. You don't necessarily have to go with "matching" colors, just coordinating ones. My hobby is decorating, and I spent less than $100 decorating my kitchen with coffee art. You might also want to look for removable vinyl decals, which are very easy to apply and remove without damaging your walls and come in an array of colors. These too can be found on the 3 sites mentioned above.

Hope this is helpful.

I don't consider it to be a "coffee themed" kitchen but I had really cute throw rugs in my kitchen (wood floors) with steaming java cups on them--they have brown, teal and cream and I love that color combo!

You can get great color selections from your pot holders, kitchen towels and dish clothes, even great artwork can be the inspiration for your color choices. Home depot may have a color matching machine which can match any color you bring to create your dream paint color, so a red bell pepper, or tomato, or orange, or chili pepper or whole coffee bean can all offer some great inspiration for your kitchen color.

My kitchen is shades of brown, red, green, and orange. I love the warmth of my kitchen.

Totally agree with Heather. Find your arwork b/c you are going to need this to make it "coffee" themed. I have seen some very cool cafe artwork out there. From there you pull the colors that will work the best.

I would be sure you have a color you can use even if you would change your theme. My kitchen is tomato red, sounds awful but it's not bright and yet is red. I have a goldish color in other rooms that are seen from the kitchen and it makes a very warm, comfortable feeling but doesn't seem 'hot' when cooking either. I have orange in pictures and it picks up the red and the gold. I could put coffee theme in there as the tile is brownish/tan and all the colors are warm and you can add green, brown or other colors easily. I picked my paint at Sherman Williams but they can match it other places, the builder took it somewhere he chose and it was a perfect match. Pick what you want as accents first but then, like I said, be sure you can change the theme and still like it without painting again if you decide you want to try something else later.
