I agree with the previous response. Craigslist is a great option. You can do a search on maternity clothes in the kids/baby section to get an idea of what others have posted. If you feel weird about people coming to your place to see the clothes, you can arrange to meet in a public place.

If you don't feel comfortable selling on CL, you can try to take them to one of the several kid/baby directed consignment stores around Austin (Rock-a-bye Baby, Kid-to-Kid, etc.), however, you will probably make more money if you sell your items on Craigslist.

You can use craigslist, but I would also try a consignment store like Kid to Kid. (There are a few in the Austin area, I'm not sure where in Central Texas you live.) I know that Kid to Kid is great because they give you cash or store credit, so you can put it towards purchasing things that you need as your needs change with your twins.

I would suggest you sell them on Craigslist.
Be sure to list it under Austin, so it will have a larger audience.

Are the clothes Spring, Summer, Winter or Fall? Be sure to list that, cause women will purchase maternity clothes during the time they are beginning to show. So no use trying to sell winter clothes in the middle of summer..

Also make sure you get really good photos of them. Price them as a group or price them individually. Make a note to yourself what you would like to get for them and the lowest you will accept. Be sure to be truthful about stains and spots.

I highly recommend fairytalethreads.com It's a twice yearly consignment sale that has TONS of people going to it. You receive 65% and up and are not required to be there for the sale. Most consignment stores pay 30% or thereabouts. The prices I received were much higher than I would have asked for on Craig's list or a garage sale. I put 50 items in the sale and all but 6 sold during the 2 day event. They offered at the end to donate the leftovers to charity for me as well.
