Does anyone know of a product that removes the water stains on the inside of the toilet? The water in our house was turned off for awhile before we bought it, and I've tried everything I can think of to get them off, and nothing helps. I've even tried CLR, using the drop-ins for a few months, etc. It's bugging me because it looks like they are dirty even after I've just cleaned them.
We had this problem and I emptyed the water out of the toilet and use a mr. Clean magic eraser. It took care of it.
Put on some gloves and scrub it with a pumice stone. They make some specifically for toilets. It is amazing!!!

Have you tried those dental tablets to clean dentures? Drop 2 of those tablets in the toilet and let them fiz up and let them stay in there for a good hour. I also use these in the toilet tank to remove rust like stains.
These tablets have a mirage of cleaning advantages ... like getting water lines/stains from your flower vases! They work great for the bottom of your kitchen garbage cans too. Even though we use throw away garbage bags, you (we) still have food that drips through sometimes or food particles that fall to the bottom of the garbage can. Put about an inch of water on the bottom of the garbage can and toss in a denture cleaning tablet - let it stand and it is as clean and fresh as the day you bought the garbage can.

I had the same problem! The only thing that worked was Lime Away (in the green bottle) and it worked effortlessly. I spent countless hours scrubbing with everything you could imagine, but the Lime Away worked brilliantly without too much scrubbing. Good luck!
You might try a pumice stone
Have you tried Whink Rust Stain Remover? I think they also make other products for stain removal.
Scour off made by shaklee is amazing! We just moved into a new place and it took the stain out of our toilet. Runs about $8.00 and it goes a long, long way, we bought our 7 oz container 5 years ago and it is still over half full. you literally use the tiniest amount. takes stains out of counters also and so many other things also.
The Works. It is dirt cheap and works really, really well. I would start there for sure, it is so cheap if it doesn't work it is no big deal.
We had a sink that looked so bad we thought we would have to replace it. I did a web search for stains and rust, and several people recommended Barkeeper's Friend. We tried it, and it is terrific - the sink looked brand new! It's our regular cleaner now. You can get it at Target and Walmart. We use it to clean our showers and toilets too, it gets eveything out.
If it is rust stains try "Wink" it comes in a brown plastic bottle and is a rust remover. Just squirt some aroung the rim a couple of times a day after you go to the bathroom. In a few days you will see a huge difference. Then if the stains come back just repeat the process.
I've always been told a pumice stone is about the only thing that will scrub away those stains. We have a toilet in the basement that needs it!

We just moved from Tucson, where the water is as hard as diamonds!! My hubby cleaned the ring out of both of our toilets with lots of hand scrubbing with Comet and one of the green scrubby sponges. I also think bleach would be good to try. I used to pour it into the toilet and let it sit for awhile, and it did take out the rings, but some people say it can hurt the porcelain? That was never the case with me though.
Try "The Works" toilet bowl cleaner. We had the same problem and it worked right awaym
Iron Out works great for me, we have hard water and sometimes get rust stains.
Buy a pumice stone, it will take a little hard work but it will be well worth it.
Have you tried just pouring some bleach in the toilets and letting it sit for awhile?
Hi! We bought a house that had been vacant for 9 months and all the toilets had water stains. I bought all kinds of products and the only thing that worked was scrubbing very hard with a special pumice stone. It's amazing how nice the toilets looked after getting the stains out.

I had this conversation recently and someone said to pour a can of Coke in the toilet and leave it overnight. I haven't tried it but it is suppose to work!
Try a toilet bowl cleaner called The Works.
Try either Barkeeper's friend with a scotch cleaning pad or the Scotch-brite soap pads(only scotch-brite though, I have tried other "soap pads' and they don't work!)
Both get the rust out my toilets, sink, etc..
