Cleaning LCD TV Screen?

So, my lovely little toddler decided to draw on our LCD tv with a green crayon. I have heard you can't use Windex on LCDs, so I'm just wondering what can I use that would clean off crayon?? I've googled it, but I keep finding conflicting answers. We tried just a damp cloth, but of course that didn't get the crayon off. I'm wondering if I could use a Magic Eraser? That's the only thing I know of that takes crayon off of things, but don't know if it's too harsh for the tv or not. They seem soft enough to me, but i don't want to ruin our tv, we just got it in Feb! Any tips?? Thanks mamas!

I wouldn't use anything with amonia in it, it can cloud the screen, I went to Best Buy and got LCD cleaning wipes, they work great. My daughter went through this thing when we got ours where she kept kissing the screen leaving lip prints (often with food on her mouth) and a crayon once. I have also used Method's All Purpose non-toxic Cleaner on it and it was fine too. (I get my Method products at Target) Good Luck!

I clean my lcd tv with windex all the time. Crayon also. Just don't spray the tv directly. Spray it on a soft cloth first, then wipe.

You need to use the type of spray cleaners, that are used for COMPUTER monitors. Only.
Go to a computer store and get it.
Do not use anything else. It will damage it.

I would not use the magic eraser. It will take the skin right off of your arm if you rub it on there, so I imagine that would be far worse than Windex. I use screen wipes on mine, but have never experienced crayon. Good luck!

I suggest you contact the makers of WD40. You would be surprised at what you can clean with it.
I just bought a new car and put it in on the whole car. The windows stay much cleaner and the wipers work a lot smoother.
I also use it to clean my tile bath room.

Good Luck God Bless
