I had a candle on my stove in a shallow dish. I used my oven and the candle melted all over the top of my stove. It is a gas stove. I have scraped the wax but can't get it all up. Anyone have any ideas of how to get it off.

I used my oven last night when I cooked and I just kept wiping it down with a towel. It did the trick.

My mom spilled wax on my new counter top and I had the same problem. I used a hair dryer on the low setting with heat to melt it again and then wiped it up.

Theres an old product called limeaway that works wonders.. also when I worked in retail w/ children. There were all kinds of stuff stuck to the floor, specifically for stickers and things off of floors and fabrics. I can't remember that name of it but it worked and beyond it's specific uses. We cleaned up all kinds of things off the ground

Is there any chance you could soak the parts in warm/hot water, then wire-brush it, and wipe the remaining residue off with a soft rag?
they sell candle wax remover. also, probably goo-gone would work. i would be very sure to clean the area thoroughly after you are done to get all the cleaner off before using the stove again.
Over time, using the stove will melt and disolve the wax. Just keep an eye when using the stove until al the wax is gone. I have candles all over my house and with three kids many of them have spilled. I havve learned that the wax is not flamable, so I am thinking that just letting it melt away will be fine.
As the wife of a firefighter my husband hates when I burn candles!!! I would dip a cloth in boiling water and just let it sit on the wax to hopefully melt it again and then wipe it off. Use thick gloves so you don't get burned. Good old hot water should do the trick. Good luck!!
using a hot iron and a piece of fabric you don't need, you put the fabric over wax, run the iron over it let the fabric sit for just a moment and then pick it up, this should clean the wax up for you.

Try using an icecube on it. It should harden it up and you can remove it easier.

Hi! You could try rubbing ice cubes on the wax and then trying to get more up. Ice cubes do wonders on sticky messes! A. ;O)
I would recommend Goo Gone. It really works on alot of stuff. Pour some on the spot (you really don't have to use too much) and then let it sit for a few minutes, then wipe it up. I usually will spray the stovetop down with some Windex after to get up any goo gone residue. Good luck with whatever you decide!

boil water, pour it on and wipe. It's quick, easy and simple...
Put some ice cubes in a bag (or use an ice pack) let it sit on the wax until the wax hardens. It should remove easily once it's hardl
I use a Shaklee product called Basic H. There is also a scour off non abrasive cleaner that would definatly get it. They are biodegradable,nontoxic, great for use around children, asthmatics, animals, etc... I don't know how to get it off, I am sorry! But I had a candle on my stove too and it melted and caught on fire. My husband had to use the fire extinguisher and I was in big trouble!! So just be really careful.
Maybe try turning the oven back on to melt it again and wipe it up while it's melted. (I would use a big towel or put an oven mit or something on your hand when you wipe it up, so you don't burn your hand on it.)

My husband did this, except the wax went into some buttons, and it really isn't cleanable (there).
Best bet - fire up the oven for some cookies or a roast or something, and have a paper towel handy to pull up the rest of the wax. The oven melted it in the first place and may be the only thing to melt it enough to sop it up with a rag or paper towel.
You might make sure you didn't get it under the top of the stove - it is flammable stuff and might catch with any of the foods that may have gotten under there.
