I have a light grey loveseat that is in need of a good cleaning. Since this is the only piece of furniture that needs cleaning, I want to do it myself. Can anyone recommend a good product to do this? Thank you

What can I do next?

I have a beige colored sofa and 4 kids, one of them almost 2. The sofa gets VERY dirty. We usually use a rag with just water to get the dirt off. I recently bought Woolite upholstery cleaner and it works great. It is in a trigger bottle like 409 or other cleaner rather than a spray can like Lysol. I also take the covers off of the cushions about once a week or so to at least get those clean.

woolite cleaners are the safest if cushions come off take them off throw in washer u can clean arms by hand with cleaners and a wash rag.towel off soap rinse and dry with towels also . I have even put them on the patio and hosed them down in the warm sun they dry over night back in by noon. I used to have a beige couch now i find good furniture and do this i give them to my friends or family. I have a man waiting for me to find him a lazyboy in brown, I showed him how i did it and he said he would pay me 50.00 for a clean chair. I have used a bar of soap because it comes out of material easier and faster then detergents and dish liquid. good luck

PS: I add some PineSol or Mr. Clean cleaner into a bucket and use the bucket and the sponges; and even with my sofa, I have to change the bucket at least 2 times, that much dirt comes out! But it looks like new when I am done!

i work for a carpet and upholstery cleaning company, it really doesn't cost that much to have done professionally. probably around $30-$40. i know i tried to clean a sofa myself once with my own personal hoover carpet cleaner and all i did was make it worse (streaks of dirt). but here is a little trick of the trade that i have learned---don't get teflon/scotch guard---it's a scam! all companies use the same teflon protectant, WATER!!!!! and here's something else, for spots and stains try a little CLEAR windex. spritz a little on and it works like a charm! good luck!
