Christmas Gifts for Kids

The girl will love a PillowPet. My kids (9 & 12) have both asked for one this year already. They were out a year or so ago... but were only available by phone or online... now you can get them in stores.

Also, both of my kids love (and have for years) LEGOS. Any kind. And also the nerf guns.. .any of them.

I agree with the Pillow Pet! If you don't know what they are, they are a pillow that folds up and looks like an animal. They have ladybugs, bumble bees, lions, unicorns, and lots more. My 8 year old daughter asked for them for her birthday and got 2, a ladybug and a bumblebee. She loves them! She sleeps with both of them every night, and was so excited to take one of hers to a birthday party/sleepover. She got the unicorn one as a gift for the 8 year old birthday girl, and it was a big hit! Also, her friend who is a boy and 6 months younger than her has one and loves his too. We went to a movie night at my daughters school and a lot of kids brought their pillow pets too. They are very popular right now. Any kid who watches tv knows what they are because they play the commercials over and over. You can get them at Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walgreens, online and I'm sure more stores carry them too. They are $20.

My 8 year old daughter loves Littlest Pet Shop animals/houses. They really are not expensive. The probably start at about $5 for a set of 2. She also loves clothing, nail polish and jewelry. I don't have a son, but my friend's son likes anything Nerf or Lego.

Most girls that age like craft things. Just look at the ages on the boxes that are listed. Or like someone else mentioned, the Littlest Pet Shop toys. For the boy, I would say any kind of outside toy or game.
