Chiropractor for a Toddler with Ear Infections

My son is 2 (almost 3) and has had tubes put in his ears twice now. The tubes always have helped with his ear infections but now another one of his tubes fell out and he has an ear infection and is on his second round of antibiotics. I have read on this site many mothers have sworn by chiropractors for helping drain the ear and eliminate ear infections and I am now at the point I would like to try this approach. I really don't want to have my son go through the tube surgery again. Last time was VERY traumatic for him. I go to a chiropractor myself but would like to find one that specializes in young children. Any suggestions? I live in the Woodbury area but would also be willing to travel into St.Paul, Eagan, etc. if necessary. Also if you have had either good or bad experiences with a child chiropractor for clearing ear fluid I would be interested in hearing your opinion. Thanks.

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I didn't end up using any of the mentioned chiropractors because they didn't have Saturday hours and it was just too hard to make the distant locations during the work week. However, by looking at some of the recommended chiropractor's websites I did learn that they all received extra certification in chiropractic care for children. With this information I was able to find a chiropractor in Cottage Grove which is closer to me (Dr. Eric Hahn) and has the same certification. My son got adjusted on Thursday and this weekend I purchased one of those ear check scanners that tells you if fluid is still in the ear and it came up with NO FLUID! I will still take my son to the pediatrician to confirm but I am thrilled!

Dr. Erick Swenson at Swenson Chirpractic in Maplewood specializes in pediatrics. We haven't needed him specifically for ear infections, but our daughter has been getting regular adjustments since she was 10 days old and has never had an ear infection or used any OTC or prescription medications or antibiotics. Dr. Erick also has two young children himself, so he understands the concerns of a parent. Visit his website http://www.swensonchiropractic.com/ or contact the clinic at ###-###-####

I'd recommend Dr. Bradley Kuntz at Prior Lake Chiropractic... it's a bit further but I guarantee he's worth the extra drive... can't recommend him highly enough!

I go to Dr. Michael Deckert on Hwy. 13 and Silver Bell Rd. in Eagan. He was recommended to me by this website. He handles a lot of children and pregnant women. He is very pleasant and good with children. I see babies in car seats in the waiting room. Good luck.

I would recommend Langford Chiropractic in St. Paul (Highland Park neighborhood, near Ford Parkway & Cleveland Avenue). My son (12 months) and I both see Heather Karls and she is amazing with the little ones. My son sees her for reasons other than ear infections, so I can't comment on that. Good luck!
