Is there a children's second hand store anywhere in the Brentwood/Antioch area where I can sell clothes/baby items and find gently used ones for my daughter? I know of a couple I love in Oakland, but I want to find something locally. Please share your recommendations.

What can I do next?

I'm not going to be a whole lot of help right now, either, but there was one on 2nd Street in Antioch that I happened to drop by about a month ago. They were closing, though. They took emails and phone numbers and are planning on contacting people when they find a new location. They had both second hand clothing and new clothing that she had found on clearance. I got a new Old Navy top for my neice and a gently used 49ers outfit for my daughter along with a new Old Navy hoodie. I'm hoping they do re-open soon, so keep your eye open for a grand opening notice.

Also, there is a new consignment store on 6th Street in Antioch, but I haven't been in it yet. It's just off A Street as you turn on to 6th on the right hand side.

Hi A., I clicked on to see the responsees and there aren't any.....:( I was hoping someone would know of a place so I could check it out. I know there is a place in San Ramon but can't remember the name of it. If you are in the Mom's of Discovery Bay club they do a clothing exchange. We just had one yesterday. Where you can bring your small clothes and sell them for .25 and you can purchase other clothes for the same price. I hear its pretty good and you can get a lot of great outfits. I didn't go as I now have a 4 month old son who is wearing his big brother's baby clothes.

Good luck.
SAHM, to a 2.5yo son that is full of energy and 4 month old son who is all smiles and doesn't like to sleep through the night yet. I have my hands full. I love being a mom and Im very blessed I can stay home. I have an amazing husband who works his butt off so I can.

A.,
There is a place in Walnut Creek called "a wee change" That I have been to. They carry alot of the Gap, Gymboree, etc apparel. Other then that...unfortunately there is not many. There had been one in the Tracy area but that had closed down. Good luck in your search.

This is somewhat off subject but I wonder why these stores dont make it. Why buy new all the time? I did a search recently to find some stores since I have a bunch of high end baby clothes that I need to consign and almost all of the stores that came up in my search were closed. I was shocked. I would think they would do much better. I wonder if it's due to a lack of advertising. I never see advertising done. None the less here are a few you can check out. Not sure if they are open but you can always call:

A Wee Change Walnut Creek ###-###-####
Baby & Kids Pleasant Hill ###-###-####
Bearly Worn Walnut Creek ###-###-####
Child's Play Berkeley (college Ava) ###-###-####
Crackerjacks Oakland ###-###-####
Small-Fry Choppe Danville ###-###-####
Snickerdoodles Danville ###-###-####
They Grow So Fast Lafayette ###-###-####
Waddle and Swaddle Berkeley (Shattuck) ###-###-####

I got this list online from a mothers club posting and I dont know how old it is.

Good luck!
