HI S., there is a big furniture store on the NW corner of Greenfield and Baseline that is going out of business. It's called something like "american furniture", I can't remember exactly. I went in there when they first opened a couple years ago and remember thinking how nice their kid furniture was and how reasonably priced. I'm not sure if they are closed yet or not, but if you are in the area, you may want to check them out. They had the big going out of business discounts. good luck finding something!

We searched for baby furniture stores for a long time and there aren't many out there! We finally found a place in Gilbert called Room 4 Baby. We bought all our nursery furniture there and it's very good quality. The ladies who own and run the store are great.

Not sure if they are still around, there used to be a 2nd go around. I think it's around Warner & Alma, or Elliott & Alma area.
And, I'd try Room store, places like that have furniture if you are looking for reasonably priced furniture.

Check out Crismon's in Mesa. They are a small family-owned business. Beautiful stuff, good prices and wonderful service. We bought our daughter's entire set from them - dresser and mirror, nightstand, bed, etc. We compared the exact same set with other places and Crismon's were an equal or lower price and would let us order just what we wanted and mix and match. They were really great and go out of their way for you! And I like supporting local businesses as well. The website is:

I do not recommend IKEA furniture. We bought a dresser there before my daughter was born and used as both dresser and changing table. The bottoms of the drawer are so flimsy that it couldn't hold baby clothes after about 6 months. She still uses it but every 3 months or so I have to glue, tape, whatever, to try to keep the bottoms of the drawers from falling out. Also, dropped a half empty tube of lotion, it hit the front of one of the drawers and left a chip in the drawer. This was not a big heavy tube, either. We purchased 5 years ago, maybe they've improved their quality since then, but definitely something to look for before you purchase.
