Thank you for all the suggestions! We wound up going with classes at Destination Maternity since we live right by there. Thanks again!

Destination Maternity offers free classes. You should contact the store to see when there next childbirth class is scheduled.

Here's the website.

I highly recommend the Bradley Method! Our teacher was Brooke Atkinson ###-###-#### or ____@____.com and she was very informative. We learned everything from each stage your body goes through in labor to breastfeeding info to exercises to prepare your body for labor. I can't say enough how helpful it was to learn this in advance! It takes away the fear so commonly associated with giving birth. Our healthy daughter was born Oct 2, 2007 and it was an amazing experience! If you are hoping for a natural childbirth - this is well worth it! Best of luck to you...

I would ask your OB or call the hospital where you are delivering. I am due in September and delivering at CMC Pineville. They offer a whole host of classes from CPR to Daddy Bootcamp and of course the basics like Newborn Care. It is also a good idea to take a tour of the hospital before you get too close to your due date. Hope this helps! I am sure Presby offers the same type of classes. Good Luck!!

I'd look for childbirth classes at the hospital you are planning to deliver at. I had my son at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville on Park Road Extension (right off of Hwy 51 near Carolina Place Mall and I-485) and took a childbirth class there. Or ask your OBGYN.

Pineville CMC has great classes. They offer everything from Breastfeeding, Infant First Aid, Child Birth, and even how to install a car seat class. I took several of the classes there before my daughter was born. They were well worth the time!
