Change in Schedule.. What to Do?

DD is 18 months. She goes to bed at 8 pm. Until recently she was waking up between 7:30 and 8 am. But now it's 6 or 6:30. Nothing about her daily schedule has changed. The sun does come up earlier now, though. What should I do to get her to sleep another hour? Put her to bed later? Maybe darken her room? Just getting her to sleep until 7 would be fine. DH leaves for work at 5:45, and I get up at 6. So I need some "me time" to wake up. And my other DD is only 6 months old so many mornings I have to deal with her early (but she's been going to bed much later, between 9-11).

What can I do next?

Definitely darker curtains. Also possibly she is starting to need a little less sleep so review her overall sched. Poss shorten daytime naps. Also, make sure she is well fed before bed. Maybe yogurt or something else to really fill her belly up.

We used to keep our dd up later at that age so she would sleep later...it worked!

Yeah mine would get uup with the sun. Darker curtains will help. You know the later you put them to sleep at this age has no bearings on when they get up in the morning. But how long they naps will have a bearing on when they go to sleep at night.

My 18 month old is doing the same thing, room darkening blinds did wonders.
