Just a couple of questions and concerns to all the parents who have been threw this numbers of times. Is it normal to have puffiness years later after a c section before your menustral cycle? Is it normal for sex to feel a but different.and for your incision to be a but puffy afterwards? I'm not sure if its anything to worry about its just that ever since my c section year ago my body has felt much different compared to the 1st

What can I do next?

I did have period itching at my incision but don't remember having puffiness. Sex hurt at first but did get better. If you have any questions, I'd check it out with your ob/gyn. Couldn't hurt...

I've never experienced any puffiness at all after it healed. Do difference with my period or sex. I'd call your doctor's office and ask the nurse to ask the dr. for you. They may want to see you to check it.

I've had two c-sections. My youngest kiddo is just over 2.

GL!

By puffiness, do you mean that the scar area looks more pronounced when you are bloated before your period? That happens to me. There is always a little lip/overhang at my incision and no matter how flat the rest of my stomach is, that incision isn't. When I am bloated, it looks worse, but goes down to its normal, slightly puffed out area when the bloating subsides about 3-4 days into my period. As far as the incision being puffy after sex, or sex being different, that has not happened to me at all. I would get that complaint checked out for sure. You could have excess scar tissue or even an infection at the incision, which can happen really anytime after a c-section (it happened to me). Good luck!

No puffiness. Sex and exercise hurt for a few weeks and even months later I could sometimes feel a pulling during work outs. I would ask the dr.

i have had two - last being 9 yrs ago.
nothing what you describe.... A little " jello-ey" in the first year, but not a issue since then. Periods are normal.....sex was normal after about 5 mths or so.

i've had 3 c-sections. My first was 5 years ago and my last was 1 year ago. I have had anything like you are experiencing. I would call you doc and get it looked at. It doesn't really sound that bad but My scar is very small, not puffy and I haven't noticed anything different before my cycle or during sex.
