Hi Moms!
I am 22 weeks pregnant with #2 (my1st daughter just turned 6) and am thinking of either a Britax or Peg Perego infant seat. Which do you like/don't like and why? I would also like an easy fold stroller to go with the carseat and am having a problem picking one out. It doesn't matter if it's a jogger or regular stroller I just want something simple to use that is safe and will grow with my child but also work with either of the above infant seats.
Thanks for your input!

So What Happened?

I went to BuyBuyBaby and played around with the strollers and carseats. I decided on the Britax Chaperone carseat and the Britax B-Ready stroller.

I totally skipped the infant seat with my second and went with a Britax that went from 5-65lbs. She's 2.5 and still using the same seat. The only downside was that you couldn't take it out of the car but I usually carried my tiny one in a wrap or used my son's old seat if we happened to be going out. I'd toss the old infant seat in the trunk and pull it out to take in the restaurant.

For my 2nd I got the Chicco Keyfit as it was a top rated seated. I loved it, it was easy to install. We skipped the stroller and went with on of those chassis that you clip the car seat into. They are light, compact and easy to fold. I did a lot of baby wearing because that is what I liked, but if we needed a stroller I had a Maclearn Volo that we used once she was out of the infant seat and sitting well.

I got a Peg Perego for my first child and a Graco for my second. With my first I went for what I liked as far as the looks...so it was Peg Perego! BUT it is so heavy...really heavy. I used a Snap and Go with both though...love them! Once they grew out of their baby carriers I put them in MacLaren strollers...kinda like a step up from an umbrella...love it!

So to answer your question, Peg Perego is heavy...use a snap and go...MacClaren stroller after infant seat.

Congrats!!!

I really love Britax. Peg is great, but it's super heavy by its self, let alone with a 15 lbs baby in it.
As for the stroller, I have the Peg Plinko P3 and LOVE it! Super easy to fold and unfold. It stand on it's own, your older child can ride on the back when they are tired of walking. Great prints and great customer service.
So I'd go Britax seat with a peg stroller. You can put a Britax in a peg stroller, you just need the strap to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. I think you can get that on Peg's website.

Baby Jogger either City Mini or City Elite. Either carseat will work and its extremely easy to fold. Litterally pull a strap and its done.

Congrats!

We have a Britax chaperone car seat and love it. However it's very large, we have an issue in our Saturn (seat can not go far for my hubby who is 6'4) We use it with Peg perego Pliko P3, which I too love(compact fold, comfy for newborn as well as 5 year old(if needed), step for an older child in the back, handles go up and down for taller parent and very cool looking:)). We got our stroller on Craigslist for $100 in like new cond. Originally I wanted Peg Perego Travel system with peg perego 30/30 car seat, but we could not find it on CL and just could not pay $500-600 for a new travel system. I think Britax and peg perego 30/30 car seats are very simlar(/solid/good quality), we just went with the one we found first.
