I'm looking for someone to clean our carpets in our house. If you have any recommendations, I'd love to hear them. I don't know where to start to look for someone.

What can I do next?

Sebastians carpet cleaners are great! They do a really good job, are friendly, clean cut and trustworthy. We have tried other cleaners, but these guys beat them all hands down!
It's a small company- just a few employees, who don't do a lot of advertising- just word of mouth, everyone who I recommended them to have been very happy.

Hi Rosei,

I would recommend Brad Smallfield of Del's Cleaning Service. Brad owns the business with his father and has been cleaning carpets for nearly 20+ years.

Brad has very high work ethic and integrity, standing behind his services. He is very reasonably priced too.

He uses biodegradable products, so no harsh chemicals to clean your carpets.

I know Brad personally, and have had him clean our carpets both in the house and in my car.

Give him a call ###-###-####

Good luck - S.

R.,

We used Carpet Care and More in the Twin Cities area and they did a good job at a good price. Things you want to look for are...

- Do they run their machine from a van? You want this because they can keep the water hot and it cleans better.
- What do they charge? What is the sq ft maximum per room? Some places charge a little less per room, but the sq footage is so small that every room in your house counts as two so you pay more. Calculate for your actual house and see who's price is best. You can check coupons that come in the mail.
- Avoid the big chains. If they are a corporate franchise, you are going to pay extra to fund the middle man. Getting a locally owned family business can mean you get a better deal and someone who really cares about his work.

Good luck,
S.

I don't know how important non toxic and enviromentally friendly is to you, but on one of my fav radio stations KQRS, they have been advertising Zerorez carpet cleaning. They are safe non toxic, in case you have pets or babies crawling on floor. Go to the KQ website and enter in the word 'carpet' to learn more, I was thinking of calling myself too.

Definitely check out service reviews on this site before you make any decisions!

We tried to go with Advanced Carpet Restoration (ACR) and it was a NIGHTMARE! I mean it happened over a year ago and I still feel that strongly about it ... which is bad.

Stanley Steemer is somewhere I would strongly recommend. Highly reputable. My friends husband worked there (and he still won't let me live down that I called ACR) and he gave me some great tips to look for. (i.e. they should have a truck mounted set up, two people etc)

Good luck!
