Carpet Burn on Crawling Infant

My precious baby girl is starting to crawl and her poor little knees are always red and irritated. Is there something I can put on her to help ease the inflammation of her skin? It doesn't seem to bother her, but I can't help but think it hurts. Long pants are out of the question considering it's almost 100' everyday here in OK. Any ideas will be helpful. THANKS!

What can I do next?

we have hardwood floors, and I bought a couple pairs of baby legs for my son. think lightweight leg warmers, we just bunch them up to cover the knee and leave as much leg as possible exposed. Also aquafor lotion at night may help heal.

If it isn't bothering her, I wouldn't worry about it. Kids are tough so I'm sure her little knees will be fine.

I remember that happening to my kids too. I think once their little knees get used to it -- it stops happening.
Maybe inventing some "baby knee pads" would market well?

My son use to get the same thing when he first started to crawl. If it doesn't seem to bother her then just leave it alone. I don't even think my son gets it anymore.:)

I assume it's not 100 inside the house.
As long as it's a comfortable room temperature, long pants or some light sweat pants should be fine.
Hannah Anderson has some cute pants/leggings that are light weight and adorable.
She'll be walking and getting into everything before you know it.

I know this isn't going to help you, but I had to share my story with you.

When my oldest was 18 months old, I was 8 months pregnant with #2..... one day, she wanted a drink, so I got her some grape juice.... I usually "helped" her, but didn't want to bend over right there, so I tried to take it into the living room...

She threw an absolute fit! She put her head down on the floor, screaming, and started scooting... with her forehead on the carpet. (We had a strange indoor-outdoor carpet in the kitchen that looked like a thick pad of felt... gave wonderful rug burns!)

Anyway, she ended up with a rug burn in the center of her forehead... and she didn't have much hair, so it really looked strange.

She did this a couple of other times before she realized that it hurt....

Just a funny story!
