I have 2 children and one is in a car seat. I have one on the way who will also be in a car seat. What is the best SUV that fits me, husband, 15 yr old, and two infants? I have a ford escape now, but that is not gonna work.
thanks!

I have a Honda Pilot with two kids of my own, 10 and 4 plus I've babysat for many children that I've had to take with me to places. The best fit I had in the second row was the car seat for my 4yr old on the passenger side and the baby car seat on the driver side while my 10yr old would sit in the 3rd row as needed because the middle seat in the 2nd row is very narrow. I've also had car seats in the 3rd row as well but it's kinda a pain to have to stretch that far to buckle seat belts.

Hey there mom-
I am also in the market for a new car as well. I recently checked out the Acadia Denali (GMC). It has 3 rows of seats. The second row has 2 captain chairs to put the carseats with a pass through in the middle to the 3rd row bench for the 15 yr old. You just have to order it that way at no extra charge.(or so the dealership said). Plus it looks really nice to. Good Luck & Happy car shopping. L. B.

We just got an Acura Mdx and it is great! It fits both kids and has room for one more in the 2nd row. It also has 3rd row seats too. The Honda pilot isbalso a great option.

I know you said SUV, but I just had to put it out there that I got a VW Routon mini van this past year and LOVE it! I got black and it definetly does not look like your old school mini van. It has two flip down tvs and drive great. Slider doors open automatically with a press of a button on the key as you are walking up - so convenient! Just sayin'........

Completely depends on the price range you are looking for. My Husband and I were just in the same situation. We had a Jeep Liberty, which i am almost positive is smaller. I used to be totally against Vans, however we just got one! After doing a TON of research i would have to say either the new Niessan Qwest or Honda Oddessy (fully loaded of course) are your best best (if price is not an option). We just got a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country. I can fit my double stroller, both umbrellas, plus two car seats (29 mths and 14 mths) and my oldest daughter who is 6, Along with Nanee (Grandma) for the occasion trips! It's got a ton of space below the seats, side compartments, slididng doors on both sides wow. Keep in mind the bigger you go with an SUV the more gas it guzzles. Not to mention starting prices are around 10-15K higher. Don't get me wrong I was completely sold on the SUV as well and caught up in allure of the non-mini van image, never thought i'd own a van EVER. But really you can't beat the space for the price or how far they have come.
If you are still looking for SUV the larger ones that are best are the Chevy Tahoe, Surburbans, Niessan Sequioa, and Ford Expedition.

the new Ford Explorer might be an option.....I think it has 3 rows of seats??

The Ford Flex is an option....our school district even uses them for club activities at other school districts.

Chevy Tahoe has 3 rows.....& not sure about any others.

I recommended these options based on your request for a SUV....I have an older Explorer with the larger V6 & love it! We do require 4wd for my vehicle & this option allows us decent gas milege, too. I avg about 22 hwy.
