I've been looking for a great Karate and Soccer Club for my 2 boys in Plano or nearby....

I would like to hear personal experiences before I entrust my kids to a total stranger....

If you have membership prices available for me too that would be awesome......

Can you help ???

Thanks soooooooooo much in advance,

So What Happened?

We went to USA Martial Arts Academy in Plano.

Both my boys (even my little one) got a free class.

Mr. Brown was very patient with Alexander, who kept bouncing with excitement.

Both boys had tons of fun !!!!

I totally recommend this place....especially Mr. Brown and Mrs. Shiva are great !!!!!!!!!!

USA Martial Arts has been great for my children. A little pricey, but well worth it. Instructors really know how to work with children and you can tell they really care.

You can look up http://www.pysa.org/ for recreational and competitive soccer. Your 10 year old is old enough to play there. The competitive league has already started, but he can try out in the summer for a team next fall. Competitive soccer will run about $1500 - $2000 a year. The recreational teams are around $100.

For your 3 year old you can check out the Plano Rec center. They are signing up for new classes on Sat. Classes go fast, so sign up early. It is around $30, but they do not play any games, it is more like a 4 week practice. There is also Soccer Tots which is indoor soccer. http://www.soccertotsdallas.com/

I don't know any clubs in Plano, but depending on how competitive your kids are, I highly recommend Upward soccer, especially for your younger son. They are usually at a church and it is indoors. If your kids are very athletic, especially the older on, it may not be to his liking. But for younger kids, it is a good, low key way to learn the basics without any pressure. Plus, it is very inexpensive. Usually about $70 per season and that includes a uniform. Google it and you should find one in your area.

My 2 kiddos participate in TaeKwonDo at Karate for Kids in Allen. I teach yoga and met Master Sustaire while teaching. We spoke for a while and I liked his attitude and philosophies. My kiddos are now green belts on the way to black belts. It is not the least expensive club around, but you get highly trained teachers - world champions! One of the stripes that they give is a parent stripe connecting class philosophies with home responsibilities. This is in Allen, but I know that plenty of the students are from Plano. Good luck!
