Can You Recommend a Fun Playground?

I am looking for a neat park/playground around Carrollton, Farmer's Branch, or far North Dallas- one that has more than just the typical swings and slides. Please respond if you know of a good one. I have a Mapsco, so as long as you can tell me the general location or the name of the park, I should be able to find it. Thanks.

So What Happened?

We met up with friends at Mary Heads Carter park. It is a lot of fun because it's one of the big, wooden fort-type playgrounds. Don't go at 10:30- that's when about 1000 Pre-K kids come from their school across the street. That's when we quickly left!
We look forward to trying all of the other parks that were recommended as well. Thanks!

Hi,

There is one on Golfing Green and Webbs Chappel behind the Library it is set up like a Old Fort it has TeePee's ,Cannons
and spring horses it also right by the creek so there are ducks
and the have a mmanmade waterfall that you can walk on.
My son always has a great time there.
Also, if you follow Golfing Green past Josey Lane I beleive that it deadends into another park/playground.

There is a nice neighborhood park on Josey between 635 & Valley View Ln called Mallard Park (I think) it also has nice playground and a creek.

Hope this Helps

There is a Kiddie Corral that is wooden that is in Carrollton off of Kelly Blvd going north between Keller Springs and Trinity Mills also there is Arbor Valley Nature Preserve that is in Plano off of Parker between Marsh and Midway which is not too far from Carrollton. I love that place, That is where my son had his 1st Bday.

Arbor Trails is located on the corner of Parker and Marsh. It is right past Plano Presby. It is a beautiful park with both a toddler playground and a larger one. There are covered areas, picnic tables, trails, and nature walks. It really is a great place.
