I am starting a thrift store with used items, of course, as well as affordable gift items and a gift basket service. I will carry items like fashion jewelry, bath and body products, pet items, and will also have the over sized cupcakes and mini cakes (either for individual sale or added in a basket) You will also have that choice on the gift items, purchase with basket or seperately.I am starting up online but will be working on moving into a building so I need a name that will stick. I really dont want the words thrift in them since I will be doing gift baskets also. I'd like to have a name that will go with all that I have to offer but I keep drawing a blank lol.
I have came up with a few names, but I'm not sure
"Angel Boo Lane" , (Angel after my youngest daughter and my granddaughter's nickname is Boo)
"Sassy-tudes"
"I Want That"
My target customers will be moms and women. I am having trouble coming up with a slogan also. The theme and colors will all depend on the name. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Cute names are "cute" but they don't tell customers what you do/have/are. Angel Boo Lane doesn't say anything..are you a store, a restaurant...what? You save on advertising costs is your name says what you are, no real slogans are necessary. Your name says it all.
ex: Best Buy, Whole Foods, Liquor Stop, they all say what they are without any other explanation.

I agree that is sure is helpful to have what you sell into your name. I disagree that "Best Buy" needs no further explanation as to what they sell. Best Buy could sell clothing, be a thrift store, heck even a dollar store.
There's a store here called "Bless Your Heart". It might say "gifts" at the end. I'm don't remember. But you can tell by the FONT and by the COLOR on their sign that they are a gift store full of girly stuff - jewelry, handbags, rinestoned-gifts. The hot pink polka-dotted lettering and curly-Q font just says it all. So if I were you, I'd add some part of that element into your design. Not over-do it with the girly stuff b/c that turns some women off (me included). Perhaps on your sign you have logos/pics/simple drawings of some of the items you have (a rubber ducky if you include baby items, a pair of earrings, a dress, etc).

As for names... the Angel Boo Lane is really cute, has a nice catchy cadence, but I agree it doesn't say 'what' it is! Maybe a slogan to help:
