Can I Wake My Baby up an Hour Early?

I was going to be a stay at home mom but recently decided to start looking for work. Problem is my 8 mo old baby wakes up on the late side at 7:30 which would make it difficult to find a job around here. Is it a bad idea to try to change his sleep schedule so he gets up an hour early? How could I change it? Could I just start waking him up an hour early and he'll naturally fall into the routine? Should I put him to bed an hour early or should I try to get him to take longer naps to make up for it? He sleeps from 8pm to 7:30 am and take 2 30 minute to 1 and a half hour naps.

What can I do next?

This child came into your world. The world does NOT revolve around him - as much as he would like to think it does.
Adjust his schedule to fit yours. You'll have to adjust it for school one day anyway -- it may as well be now.
Back his bed time up to 7 and skip the morning nap. Problem solved.

Yup - you just nudge his bedtime and wake up time (I used to just do 1/2 hour or so) over a few days, and they adjust. Might take a week or two for it to become the norm. No different than adults :)

Yes.
There will be an adjustment period, but a new routine becomes the regular routine eventually.
That's what happens when we spring ahead or fall back every time we go into/come out of Daylight Savings time.

They adjust. Flexible babies are much easier babies.

You just get yourself ready, go pick the baby up, change it's diaper, put some clean clothes in the diaper bag along with everything they'll need, then you drop them off at child care. I often had kids come in early in their jammies.
