I am looking for a dual dvd player with a battery for travel. I recently purchased the disney one from Target and it has no battery and has to either be plugged into the cigarette lighter or power outlet. I need one I can charge with dual screens. Thank you Moms if anyone can help!

What can I do next?

D.,

I bought my son a Polaroid 7" Portable DVD Player and it works great. It has a battery, AC & you can buy ear phones so it will not bother any of the other passenger or if you are in the car you can listen to the radio while they watch their favorite film. Cost is a little over $100.00 but well worth the money.

I was stressed about this as well, with just a 3 hr plane ride, and the dvd player is fabulous! Just so you know, most airplanes have a place under the seats where you can plug in devices that plug into cig lighters in cars (whatever that's called). To see if your seats will have this, you can search online and find sites easily where they show different planes and which seats on those planes have the plug ins. My brother told me this days before going on the plane, and I was so relieved to know I didn't have to worry about batteries running out during the flight. Have fun!

I happen to be traveling nearly every month for the past year from Amarillo to either Lubbock or Ft worth or San antonio! I got a dual dvd player from target I think it was magnavox or something like that it's only at Target! It was on sale for like 130.00 I still had to get the rechargeable battery for it but ended up getting a three year warranty also! The dvd players have come in so handy and we take them everywhere!
The battery hooks on to the back of one of the screens and comes seperately but, it's still worth it!
You could also look into a cigeratte lighter converter to an outlet or use a laptop!

I don't know of one. We always use our laptops for that kind of thing.

But I was wondering if you are going to need a different kind of charger for over there, because they use different current, so I thought I'd mention that.

Here's a site that might be useful.

And I know it might be hard, but your children are lucky enough to go to Europe!, so why not let them have the full experience and not take the DVD. It would be sad if they came back and remembered France as "The place where we watched The Little Mermaid five times!".

Being stuck in lines, on trains etc is part of the experience. Planes will have movies, though maybe not cartoon type. But give them some books, puzzles or coloring books with special crayons that they've never seen before on the plane. Make it special. I bet you can find coloring books and young reader books on the places you're going.

Have a great time. Your children will likely rise to the occasion and amaze you with great behavior.
