We are thinking about a vacation in Wisconsin in the summer. We have three kids ages who will be 9, 7 and 4. A grandpa and aunt will probably also join us. Does anyone have any recommendations for cabins in Wisconsin? We'd ideally like to be on or near a lake.
Love northern WI. I would suggest looking near Shell Lake, Rice Lake or the Hayward, WI area. Also, the Apostle Islands.
Our last family vacation was to Rhode Island using this website. http://www.vrbo.com You can select filters to get enough bedrooms, bathrooms, and the location you'd like. We ended up with a house that had 7 bedrooms/3 bathrooms, and was a 2 block walk to the ocean. Perfect for a vacation that included 7 adults and 4 children. Give it a try and see what you can find.

We have been going to Thunderbird Resort in Wisconsin Dells for years. It is on a lake and also has an indoor pool. Our kids (7,5,3) really enjoy it as well.
We rented a great house on a lake in Winter, Wisconsin a few years ago. If you google winter wisconsin and vacation rental it would pop up. It was great and private!
i look for all my cabin rentals on tripadvisor. they've generally done us pretty well.
