We had a ozone system. Had it built 6 or so years ago...so not exactly in your time frame, but I think close enough. I don't if the pool company told you, but you will still have to put chlorine in the pool. You have to have the same level as a chlorine pool, but it takes less chlorine to reach that level. They told us that we would not notice the chlorine, but we did. When our Ozone bulb burned out (after 4 years) we switched to Salt and I would never go back (over 2 years ago). But, since you don't want salt, I would suggest just going with a traditional Chlorine system since I felt the Ozone was not what advertised.

Ours it chlorine and we have not problems or issues with it. This is our 7th summer and still love it. The kids were in the pool for 3 hours today...

Just wondering why not salt? When we lived in Tuscon we had a saltwater pool and LOVED it!!!! Super easy to car for, easy in the suits and the kids never had eye issues..and of course no bad smell!!

We have an ozone system for our wood hot tub and it's fantastic. Why not salt?
