Does anyone have a preschool in or near Broomfield that they can recommend to me? I am looking to put my 3 year old son in preschool next fall (possibly this spring) and I know some places are already registering this far in advance. I am trying to find things online but he is my first born so I feel very lost trying to make this decision! We are on a limited budget, we are looking only for a few mornings a week, and he is potty trained if that helps ;) We live near Flatirons mall.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I do next?

My daughter goes to The Academy Child Development Center at 112th and Sheridan. They are awesome and a bonus is that they have a gym so if it's too cold to go outside, they still get to run off their energy.

Good luck!

H.,
My 3 yr old goes to Broomfield Academy and she loves it there. This is a formal academic setting, the grades are pre-k through 6th. They are very focused on learning but through interactive play. They individualize the program for your child which you don't find in many schools. The pre-k teachers are great, they truly believe that kids at this age can learn. The class sizes are also very small, never higher than 10 to 1.

My three year old has just thrived there and I amazed at how much she has learned since August....She came home the other day telling me she "voted" for John McCain which was a surprise to my husband and I who are very much Democrats :-). She also knew that OBama had won the election. She really loves going to Broomfield Academy and is having so much fun, but learning at the same time.

We love our preschool. It is at Norhtglenn United Methodist Church off of 104th and Livingston (west of Huron). Although the area has deteriorated over the years, the preschool has a great curriculum and is very competitive. I myself drive 10 miles one way to get there as do others. There are 2, 3, 4 morning/afternoon programs available. The staff is knowledgable and great with kids. They welcome visitors/observers and have plenty of volunteer opportunities. Check it out, Northglenn United Methodist Early Childhood Center (NUMC ECC). I think they even have one spot open for a 3 year old now....

The absolute best part-time preschool in Broomfield is Bal Swan!! The United Methodist Church of Broomfield also has a pretty good program.

Also, opening this month, is the Mountain View Montessori. Montessori schools have outstanding reputations, and the owner of this school is fantastic!!

Hope that helps.

Both of my kiddos went/are going to The Children's Center in McKay Landing. They are very personable there and just love the kids so much! I think they may still have openings on Tues & Thursday's for this year if you are interested.

We really like Gateway Academy at 120th and Sheridan. The 3 year old room has WONDERFUL teachers. I know they have part time, but I'm not sure about the details, my kids are full time.

I was in your position 5 years ago and recommend that you go visit at least 3 preschools and see the classes in session. It looks like you have had several recommendations of preschools in your area. Take your 3 year old with you; you'll know when you find the right preschool for you as the kids will be so happy and busy playing they won't even notice you're there checking things out. At 3, I believe kids need social skills more than they need academics, they need to learn to share, take turns, speak out when someone/something upsets them , talk to their peers etc. Good luck with your decision!

I absolutley loved the program they had a WestView Rec Center. The teachers are so loving and patient. Both my children did it and I recommend it to who ever will listen. They are not expensive either. Do look into it, you will love it!!
