Britax Car Seats - Arlington,TX

I have the Britax Boulevard, and LOVE it. My son also seems to like it. Unlike most of my friends kids, he has never been upset about getting in the car.

We have a son 10 months and a daughter 2 years old. They love their Britax Marathon car seat. I cannot say enough about them. My husband loved them so much he even got one for his truck. I am not sure the difference between the two other than maybe the Regant is a little bigger. I know we have a Tahoe and I don't think I would want anything bigger in my car than what I have. Either way I think you will love them.

I LOVE my Britax Marathon! I bought it when my daughter was 8 months old and it is the best car seat! I read a ton of reviews, and researched a lot on Britax, Evenflow, and a ton of other car seat brands and my Britax is the one I am most comfortable saying I feel so safe with my child in that car seat. It is sturdy and fits into my car either facing forward or backwards. A lot of other car seats are made of cheap plastic that can easily break. Britax is a lot more solid. Also, Britax is a European brand and they have higher quality standards on car seats than America in the research I read. Good luck!

How tall are your girls and how much do they weigh?

I would recommend taking a trip to Babies R Us and putting your girls in the different Britax seats (they carry all of them, the marathon, decathlon, boulevard, and the regent) and see which ones fit your girls the best, and which one has features that you like the most.

You also need to make sure that these seats will be able to install correctly in your car and that you will be able to use them correctly every time. BRU is good about letting you take the seat out to the car so you can see if it will fit.

we went with the britax regent for our younger child (2 1/2 yo) and she loves it! it is great for long trips, especially, since it has "wings" for her to rest her head on. we only bought one at first because she haaaaated her old car seats and we wanted to be sure she liked the regent before spending $500 on 2 of them! but as soon as it was clear that she loved it we decided to go ahead and get the 2nd one for my husband's truck.
the only con is that it is HUGE and i am not sure how well she will fit when she is taller and her legs are longer.
we already had graco seats in our cars for our son (4yo) so we didn't upgrade for him. he likes his seats and never complains about stuff like that.

I have the Britax Decathlon. It is a little bigger than the others (I think), but we like everything it offers. I will never buy another brand. I guess every model has its major selling points. We picked the one we did because we felt we could use it longer than the others because of the weight limits, overall size, and removable padding that comes with it. Our son is happy in it.

I have the Britax Wizard w/the adjustable sides at the top (which really is for enhanced side impact protection even though it can used as a headrest for sleepers) and have not had any problems with it. Certain Britax styles did have a recall of the straps a few yrs back so other moms reading this should check this site out if you didn't know about it -

Other than that, I haven't heard anything else negative about Britax. I've heard that Britax is a brand from Germany. Since they don't have speed limits there and cars can go really fast, they have very strict guidelines and heavier testing with their carseats, compared to other brands. You probably have noticed that they do look and feel much different than the other brands, given the price attached to this brand. I'm not familiar with the 2 styles you're leaning towards but I think that any style from the Britax would be pretty good.

Britax Marathon has my vote!! You'll not find a safer, sturdier, more comfortable carseat! I love the fact that my almost 4 year old can still take a snooze in it and be absolutely comfortable without her head bobbing from side to side! When I did the research about 3 years ago, it was ranked #1 worldwide for safety. That sealed the deal for me! Good luck!

I went with Britax when selecting a booster seat, which your 4-yr-old is probably ready for. We love ours! It is easy to switch from car to car, which comes in handy when your child gets a more active social life! And it has "wings" that let her rest her head when she falls asleep in the car. It is a very high quality, dependable brand.
