Britax Boulevard Vs. Boulevard CS

Hi Moms-

I have done a lot of research and looking into the big boy carseat for my 15 mo. old son. He has almost out grown his infant seat. We plan to keep him rear facing.

I have it narrowed down between the Britax Boulevard or the Boulevard CS. From what I can gather, the only difference is the CS model has the Click and Safe Snug Harness Indicator, which I believe makes a sound when the carseat harness is where it is suppose to be, as far as not having it too loose or too tight. Other than that, they are indentical.

Do you have either one of these carseats? Assure me that it's a good choice...?!?! Do you think I should get the CS model? (It's a little more expensive.)

Thank you!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Well we went and looked at every seat out there today, even though we are def. getting a Britax...I think we are going to go without the CS...now we can't decide if we should get the Cowmooflage print!!! ;) Is it cool, or too trendy! hahah

I have the Britax Boulevard CS and honestly I would probably go with the regular model if I had to do it all over. I feel like the 'click' feature just arbitrarily clicks when you pull the strap. Even possibly giving a false sense of confidence. I think if you are the kind of mom who's researching it, you will also be able to determine when it it tight enough. The boulevard is a great seat though my son really loves it.

We have the boulevard & love it. But make sure it fits rear facing in your car; it's big! ;) install one at the store & then try and sit in the seat in front of it!

We bought the CS for my oldest daughter, because she was the first and we thought it would be much safer. It turns out it's kind of stupid. It's extra money for the click and you really don't need it. It's so easy to tell when a car seat is tight enough. For my second we went with just a regular Britax car seat and it works fine. Now we are shopping for car seats again since we are expecting our third in Feb and have to be able to fit 3 car seats in the back seat of a station wagon! Wish me luck! :)Happy car seat shopping to you!

I thought it was dumb for the CS when I bought my son his Marathon, so I decided not to get it. I loved my seat without it :D

We have the boulevard- not sure the CS existed in 2008 when we bought ours :) the boulevard is great- not sure I would want some noisy added feature or think it is worth it! I say save the bucks and get the boulevard! Also it is a super comfy seat both of my kids fall/fell asleep in!

We recently went through this a couple of months ago when we made the transition from carrier to car seat. We went with the CS only bc that was what was avaliable. The Click and Safe Snug feature is nice (it is so quiet it makes like one ticking sound once it's in the right position) but not a necessity. Our other daughter has a different model car seat without this feature and I just use the pinch and gather method to make sure her straps aren't too loose.

We have the boulevard and love it, my daughter is always comfy and we love the large side impact protection. You really don't need the CS. You know the belt is tight enough if you can't pinch the belt once he is buckled.
