Hi- My husband and I are expecting are second bundle of joy this July and I am looking for a great wrap or coverall for breastfeeding this summer. I saw this new style online that wraps around the Mothers neck, however I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Any tips or advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi B. - if you're due in the summer I found the easiest thing to do is buy lots of long tank tops. I'd wear them under my normal shirt/t-shirt and when I needed to feed I'd just pull the shirt up and the tank top down (does that make sense?!) With a nursing bra there was virtually no skin on show and I found it looked normal and I could get loads of tank tops in different colours that I'd be able to use later as well. Old Navy sells nice long ones. Just a thought. Good luck with the new arrival!

I tried to cover up with both my daugthers who hated anything over thier heads...I just sort of had to drape a blanket over myself but they still would fuss and would not eat that way. I got very used to getting some strange looks in public... but what are you giong to do? My baby needed to eat...so it depends on the baby and if they will cooperate as well. I am guess if you introduce it really ealry it should not be a problem...but even as a newborn my youngest daughter would not have it! I literally was at the zoo once with her nursing her and got some disgucted looks from parents for nursing in public. The funny thing was we were by the giraffe exhibit and they had just watched the Mama giraffe feed her young and they were taking pictures...after the dirty looks I wanted to remind them that humans also feed thier young in the same way...I keep my mouth shut but I could not believe the double standard.

I also like the bebe au lait/hooter hiders. They're about $35. They're nice and big so that even with my older baby, I feel adequately covered when sitting right next to somebody.

I got one called a hooter hider. The same company sells it under a different name as well but I can't recall what it is. It is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. I've bought two for baby shower gifts.
