Hi everyone. I was just wondering when I should my baby on stage 2 nipples. She is only bottle fed at this point and does a really great job with it. She's currently 3 months old. Some of the stage 1 work okay but some seem waaaay too slow for her. Is she ready for stage 2?

What can I do next?

I believe stage 2 is for that 3-6 month range, and then 3 being for the 6-9 month and then you transition to sippy cups. We used the avent bottles and nipples and that was the progress we followed. If she is having trouble and sucking too hard for the 1, I would go ahead and upgrade her.

Hi C.,

I would go ahead and try her on the stage 2 nipples, if she seems to adapt to the nipples continue and with them. Just integrate them in her feedings slowly and see how she does with it. Good Luck and Happy feeding. :)

Our son was taking forever drinking with the stage 1 nipples so we tried the stage 2. At first he wasn't ready because he would choke and milk would run out of his mouth. We kept trying every now and then to see when he was ready and switched when he stopped spilling it. You just have to be patient even if your child is taking forever to drink a bottle. Once you switch it will be wonderful and so much faster.

I think you can switch them whenever you feel she is ready. I am currently nursing my little one and she has never had a bottle, but my first was bottle fed. She never went off stage one. lol. All the other ones made her choke! But if your little one seems ready it wont hurt anything to try it.
