My son is three month old,he is breast feeding at this time. we try to give him bottle of similac or enfamil he won't take it.we try to breast pump and feed him in the bottle,he is not taking a bottle at all.what should you thing we do differently or better?please we need help?
ok i had this problem too my leah is three monthes old too and well some babies wont take bottles but some wont take the bottle from their mom. leah wouldnt take the bottle for me or anyone if i was around cus she could smell me but if i wasnt around she woulfd take it for others.. maybe its the bottle try to find a botttle with the same nippple as yuours, its a hard process but you vcan do it.
Try different types of bottles and nipples... my DD doesn't like any of the "realistic" nipples, only the cheap older style... You might try different temperatures too...
You may want to switch to a different baby bottle. When my older girl who is now 6 was a baby we were able to use Avent baby bottles. But when I had my second girl who is right under a year old we started with Avent but she was constantly dribbling and never getting a good firm attachment on the baby nipple. I talked to my pediatrician and he suggested we try a different baby bottle with a different nipple size because different nipples are different sizes just like different breasts are different sizes. We tried Dr. Brown's baby bottles and nipples and she is getting a good grip and is doing fine. Good luck.
Try a different nipple? I know it sounds kinda lame but maybe he it isn't the same to him. When I had my first child, everyone recommended the playtex bottles (you know with the bag) but my daughter kept spitting it out. I changed to the regular cheap bottles and nippes and she liked it. Just something worth trying....
I would suggest that you leave the house while someone else gives the bottle. A baby can sense that you are there. It is also important to not be stressed when trying to give it because they will sense that as well. Good luck.
