Hi Moms,
I am looking at getting a booster for my daughter and want some advice on what works well. I am thinking about getting one that is narrow, so can fit 3 in one row. Do you guys know/have used one? Good/bad? I want a 5 pt harness one.
Cheers,
K.

What can I do next?

are you talking about a belt position booster seat or a 5pt harness seat? sunshine radians are about the only ones in 5pt that will fit 3 across...

I can fit three carseats in the backseat of my Ford Focus, just regular carseats, maybe one is a Graco, one might be Evenflo, I'm actually not positive. That time one was also a rear-facing infant carrier. Some 5-point harness carseats convert to a belt-positioning booster as well, but they are not the same thing. All of this depends more on the ages of your children, what kind seats they need, and the size of your backseat. I was able to latch everyone in safely and securely and close the doors, but it wouldn't be my ideal arrangment on a long trip. I guess that more information would be most helpful for anyone making suggestions.

I love my son's nautilus its the 5 pt harness then can be used as a booster later on but I doubt they can go 3 across. The only seats I have know of that are safe for 3 across are the sunshine radians.

Hi K.:
What kind of car do you drive and what are the ages/sizes of the kids involved - that will help figure out which would be the best choices for you to consider. The narrowest of the "Combination" seats (forward facing harnessed seat that converts to belt-positioning booster) is probably the Evenflo Maestro. The narrowest harnessed seat on the market is the Sunshine Kids Radian convertible (rear-facing and forward-facing harnessed seat).
Here's a thread that lists a lot of different 3-across set ups that have worked in various cars: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=33226&page=20

I don't think the Sunshine Radian is considered a booster seat since a baby as small as 5 pounds can use it, but I certainly have heard it's a wonderful seat. I did LOTS of research and also wanted a booster with a 5 point harness. I decided on the Britax Fontier which is a 5-point harness booster. It doesn't seem too wide, so perhaps it will fit.

A Graco Nautilus should be narrow enough to fit three across in most vehicles. What car do you have? What other car seats need to fit next to it? How old is your child, age and weight?
