Hello!! I am planning a trip to take our daughter for Disney, I am hoping to go this October, for my 30th bday! I told my husband it would be the best birthday ever, seeing her face with the princess'.... Anyway.... For all of you who have gone, did you book directly through Disney, or a Travel Agent? I got a price from Disney today, which I didn't think was bad, but was wondering if a TA has other perks to offer!
Thanks for your advice once again!!!

What can I do next?

go through disney if you want to learn about things no one else knows about. my hubby told them when we went last time it was our annivesray and they did all kinds of special things for us and set up surprises..of course we paid for them but would have never gotten that insider treatment with TA. we have done both ways and i prefer disney direct. if you want to eat at the castle...book your reservation now. you cant just walk up to some of these places and want to eat dinner or lunch.

i went thru a TA just because if there was a problem i had someone to blame. look into the dining plan and set up some character meals!!!! two years ago when we went in february for one senior citizen, one adult and one child including air fare from milwaukee, wi was about $3000.00!!! we stayed at a value resort and had the dining plan...we had a blast!!!

If you would PM me, I can tell you what we're spending on our 7 days at Disney, 2 at Sea World, 3 days at Daytona and a few other days at various other places...all booked by us personally.

We've been 8 times and I ALWAYS book directly through Disney and directly though our airline of choice.

The Disney reps can guide you to things you want to do, help you with what passes you need, reservations, etc.

We always stayed at the Polynesian and LOVED it. It is one of the pricier spots being on the monorail line but well worth it.

ENJOY!!
