Is this for a book club? Some of my favorite authors are Patricia Cornwell, Michael Crichton, Tom Clancy, and Janet Evanovich. The Evanovich novels would be the fastest read and they are more comedic. Most all of these novels are fiction, so if you're looking for something else, sorry, I can't be of much help.

All of the Jodi Picoult books that I have read have discussion questions at the end. I read The Perfect Match last month and while it was difficult to get through at times (I am Catholic with a 3 yr old little boy...you'll understand once you look at it)it really made me as a mom pay attention and wonder what you would do in that mother's situation. She writes about controversial subjects and things that could or actually have happened. I think her books would make for great discussions! Good luck in your search!

Captivating: Unveiling the Mystery of a Woman's Soul by John and Stasi Eldgridge

Wonderful book. It is uplifting and encouraging. All about how and why God created us the way we are. If you have ever done something and then thought - Why? Or Why not?- the answer is probably in this book. Every woman, young or old should read this book. I am actually going to buy my duaghter one to give to her on her 16th B-day- 10 years away!

There is a corresponding book for the men in your lives, Wild at heart, I read that too!

I'm currently reading Animal Dreams, by Barbara Kingsolver. I love it! I read a lot of her books in college (I was an English major) but haven't read this one. It's a great women's lit book, I was actually just thinking how it would be a great one for a book club. Also The Bean Trees by Barbara Kingsolver, Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, Wuthering Heights (Is always good!). All great discussion books. Enjoy!

I have recently read two books that were really fulfilling and helpful, but enjoyable. They are also set up in a way that would be good for a book club.
Men are Like Waffles, Women are Like Spaghetti - Bill & Pam Ferrell
Making Children Mind Without Losing Yours - Dr. Kevin Leman
